i'm reading a book called Crack Wars, Literature, Addiction, Mania by Avital Ronell. It somehow relates addiction, to Literature esp. Madame Bovray by Flaubert. This is all over my high-school educated head but I always want to challenge my self and learn more...she keeps referring to Dasein as a thing, not a person. Please help.

it's cool, i just wanted to start some discussion about literature as a vehicle of addiction. it facinates me, esp when one of my close associates feigns all addictions but carries a masters in literature...

o.p. otm, heidegger insists that dasein is always a who, not a what, so it WOULD be weird if ronell were always referring to it like it was a thing
