I stumbled across the headline and I got the creeping horrors. It's just so WRONG! (Link will probably change within a day.)

Yeah, and Kate Hudson just squeezed out a kid on account of Chris Robinson.

EE-yick.

Look, I was trying to avoid all thoughts of that horrid mess as well (mind you, I hate both Hudson and Robinson so let them destroy each other with their awfulness, but do not release genetic follies into this world too).

It's the beard that kills it for you, isn't it?

may pang (maypang), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

that link contains another story of far greater significance for the world

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Which, the Hefner story or the Swayze one?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:49 (twenty-two years ago)

They're all pretty significant in their own little way, but yeah.. the baby talk one takes top prize.

may pang (maypang), Thursday, 8 January 2004 03:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Swayze of course. I think the Hefner story is, er, old news.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 8 January 2004 04:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Hef should tap that shit.

What about Scarlett Johansson praising Drew Barrymore for her great advice on how not to end up like Drew Barrymore? And I quote:

"She fell into all the traps and was able to tell people like me, 'Don't go there.'"

Apparently the path to wisdom is doing every stupid thing you can think of until you can't do them anymore.

ha ha, sorry but this thread reminds me a little of the 'Chris Martin and Gwyneth have baby? ew' type thread we got a month ago by everyone's 'favourite' antagonist.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 8 January 2004 11:10 (twenty-two years ago)

The headline caused me to think of Dieter Meier mentally controlling Cameron Diaz and using her to create a master race. Which is not an image I needed first thing in the morning.

What's wrong with it? Oh no! Two talented, attractive people want to have a kid. Call the cops!

Enrique (Enrique), Thursday, 8 January 2004 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I think the point is that the more attractive but less talented one wants to have a kid, and the other is being made to go along with it against his will. Or that's the way it's been made to seem anyway.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 8 January 2004 13:26 (twenty-two years ago)

What most frustrates me about Timberlake is what I consider his unattractiveness. I am way in favour of there being many beautiful boys on screens, radios etc; I just cannot see that he is one. People have convinced themselves that he is.

I like the fact that I agree with wee Ailsa.

Also, I hate the sound of JT's records.

the bellefox, Thursday, 8 January 2004 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

once again the Swayze comes through. I love that man.

Chris V (Chris V), Thursday, 8 January 2004 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I like JT's records, and one thing that impresses me about him is that he has hoodwinked so many people into thinking he's attractive, when actually he's butters. He can dance, too. I think Diaz is talented too, and usually comes across as intelligent -- far more so than, say, Kate Winslet, who is usually assumed to have more to say for herself.
