A) Oldies radio is playing Expressway To Your Heart. B) New version of Lynx lets me edit posts to greenspun in a real text editor. C) New version of lynx lets me jump to the end of a page (ctrl-E). D) It is friday. E) ILM/E meetup tomorrow. F) I am wearing a very nice shirt which is a dress shirt but with a slight urban touch of black trim on the collar. Also, the shirt is a light blue/green which I quite like.

1) Fall foliage. It's peaking! It's peaking! Plus it's Indian Summer and it was 75 degrees in CT today.

2) New York City. Is Hello Kitty. Is a gogo and everything tastes nice. Is the my favorite place cause I know so many people with a golden face. I *have* to move back.

3) My friend Joe. He came up to CT from NYC for my father's funeral and everytime he saw me looking a little down he would serenade me with Barry Manilow's "Weekend in New England". "Long rocky beaches/you by the bay..." Then he'd break into his rendition of Cher doing "Station to Station". And he was the only person who got how hysterical my 5-year old niece looked in her kinderwhore lace collar dress and how Courtneyesque her behaviour was at the funeral. So I love Joe.

six years pass...

* Freshly washed sheets: Last night, I laundered the sheets, pillow cases, duvet cover, and shams.

* Wearing a slip under a dress to work, then throwing off the dress when I get home and lounging in my slip the rest of the evening.

* Waking up to the sounds of my husband cooking something wonderful in the kitchen.

Walking around downtown Portland last night in the rain, in full waterproof jacket, listening to The National.

Two full days of nothing to do but explore Portland.

Food would make me happy right now. But what?
