you can't divorce the object from it's usage. The guggenheim is a great museum but would make a crap house. However, take one of lloyd wright's houses and judge whether you'd want to live in those. Similarly with fashion you can't divorce the object from the usage.
As you may see I take a very modernist utilitarian approach to things. Coming from this angle will someone buy me an Issey Miyake suit?

this is the third post on ilx to feature the name "virgil abloh". the first post refers to his use of "scare quotes", the second is a schedule of youtube streaming times for coachella 2019 in which he's included. is there anything left to say?
