not happy now, things bad, very cold outside

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

it's really really nice here, like -5 or something.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:31 (twenty-two years ago)

-21 (-30 with the windchill) here, but H. Mann's weather should come our way soon enough. I can't imagine a time when my toes will be warm again. I feel really horrible and I'm all paranoid that I may have skin cancer.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:36 (twenty-two years ago)

-37 with the windchill

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

actually it was only -12, but it felt freakin balmy after -50!!! (with windchill) earlier this week.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

thank god you are all using Celsius, I was quite fucked up for a second

TOMBOT, Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:39 (twenty-two years ago)

well -40 is the same!

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

that is the temperature where it has been scientifically proven to be too cold for wacky math.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

That is a good point. Your life sucks.

TOMBOT, Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:41 (twenty-two years ago)

This is very sad. :(

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

tombot otm (boo hoo)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

you are indoors, i hope?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:47 (twenty-two years ago)

that had to be the dumbest thing i've ever typed here

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Stay inside and post something to Famous Monsters! ;)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

i am trying to write a review of "girl with a pearl earring" now but thanks to antexit i keep almost typing "girl with a pearl necklace"

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 January 2004 20:49 (twenty-two years ago)

was it any good?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, Huckleberry.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm a wuss, complaining b/c the windchill here was 10F last night. minus 37 is beyond my ken (and i LIKE the cold)!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:04 (twenty-two years ago)

i like going home.
i am going home soon.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:08 (twenty-two years ago)

run, spot, run.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I keep taking on more assignments.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:11 (twenty-two years ago)

how cold DOES it have to be before you canucks go home?!?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:11 (twenty-two years ago)

There is no such temperature.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

in some places (in Canada), if it's below -20 C, and you work for the government, and you work outside, you get danger pay.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Just say no.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

But you still have to work? Inconceivable!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I got "Danger Pay".

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

no I think you can stay home, but if you do go to work you get time and half.
because, y'know, people who work outside when it's -20 C usually do important things.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

like write about entertainment for a daily paper.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

that's like what they do in Siberia! ALL THAT PROPOGANDA ABOUT YOU SOCIALIST CANUCKS IS TRUE, COMMIES!

Rush Limbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

YOu're all a bunch of pussies.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

YEAH! WE'RE REAL AMERICANS, WE DON'T GET NO FUCKIN DANGER PAY AND WE WORK IN 50 MINUS F WEATHER WITH NO SHIRTS!! STOP WHINING YOU FRENCH-FRY EATING CAN(A)DI(AN)-ASSES!

dumber-than-dirt (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I kinda think she meant you, dude.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:25 (twenty-two years ago)

she said "you ALL" ... and she lives in NYC, not Toronto!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

"CAN(A)DI(AN)-ASSES"
that actually bordered on intelligent¡

dyson (dyson), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

god, you canucks are thin-skinned ... must be that cold weather

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, on the way home last night I discussed the cold vs heat dilemma with the guys and I was the only one who sided with cold (I'd way rather have it -35 C than +35 C and I was the only one). I suppose I'm insane.

god, you canucks are thin-skinned ... must be that cold weather

TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF AND COME HERE AND SAY THAT, TOUGH GUY! < /suddenlyalittleredaroundthecollar>

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:34 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm cold right now too. (i'm at work right now).
but fret not, my apartment building is a ragging inferno in which the tenants are powerless to cease the unrelenting heat which surely must be bellowing up from the very center of hell¡ my room is directly above the furnace room = bliss (i like it hot)¡

x-post: bryan yer nuts, hot=good

dyson (dyson), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe if you were a fat guy like me you'd understand, dyson.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

hot =/= good.

wanna swap citizenship?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

and i'm skinny

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

No, Bryan, I'm totally with you after living in Arizona for years under 130F conditions. I hate the shit out of freezing to death, don't get me wrong, but there are many times I'm still thankful for the cold versus the extreme heat. That being said it's not THAT much colder here (or in several other US cities featuring ILXors) than it is up there!!!

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

my little eskimo

Nanuk (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:40 (twenty-two years ago)

The bad thing here is that the cold is unrelenting. You guys will get as cold as us for a few days or maybe a week whereas we'll stay that temperature for SIX FUCKING MONTHS.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:43 (twenty-two years ago)

No, that's a fair point. Perhaps you all just need to buy some coats and hats.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

x-post

do you want a fucking statue in your honour¿ i swear you're as bad as my friend in montreal.
it's fucking cold everywhere (in canukistan) right now - how long it's going to last changes nothing¡

nothing¡
(sorry, i'm cold)

dyson (dyson), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:46 (twenty-two years ago)

We're loaded up, Ally. What I really need is some of these.

dyson, do you need a hug?

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Who was the statue comment directed at? I hope me, because the answer is definitely yes.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I think me for whining about how long it's cold, but yes Ally, you can have a statue too.

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:51 (twenty-two years ago)

stautues all around then¡
and a hug too would be warm.

i mean nice.

dyson (dyson), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I want it to look like this:

http://www.auntie.com/dustcatchers/diamond/sw-mace.jpg

except with my face.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:53 (twenty-two years ago)

i would KILL to have a statue like that.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

that, or a golden patrick swayze statue

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 8 January 2004 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, that would kind of kick the ass of everything ever really.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 23:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Your search - patrick swayze statue - did not match any documents.

Allyzay, Thursday, 8 January 2004 23:13 (twenty-two years ago)

It was in the 20s/30s earlier this week and I could barely function. Couldn't feel my hands, etc.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Thursday, 8 January 2004 23:20 (twenty-two years ago)
