Here's a question: Who gets the money from the tattoo? I Figure it's about 2.7million pounds (ish). Does the council get it?

Not sure - I actually think they do it as a showcase, and probably just get accomodation.

Can't see the Chinese army being paid, put it that way (with all the protest etc it would be even more controversial). I think it is a "here are us and our mates" thing.

It is a very good question, though...
