You know, cause she's curious about what it is that you're typing on, and she wants to know "how do you start one of those thread things?" and she wants to say hello to your friends.

the river fleet, Sunday, 18 January 2004 12:50 (twenty-one years ago)

sweet, i'm so doing this. give her a few days though as she rarely goes online.

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Sunday, 18 January 2004 12:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi! I feel very cautious about this effort. What shall I say. It's a very good life. Margo

Margo, Sunday, 18 January 2004 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

if my mother ever became aware of the existence of ilx, i'd have to move to sri lanka.*

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

(*possibly borneo.)

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Jess, I did this so my mum would grow disinterested in ILX and not look too closely. ;-) I mean, there's not enough threads about Anglican Theology or oriental carpets for her to be interested enough to hang around here. However, she asked that if anyone knows any "I Love Theology" boards, they could point her in the right direction.
;-)

the river fleet, Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I tried to get my mom to post once about national sovereignty and UN authority but she said "the computer swallowed it" so that was that.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

that's what she said!

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

oh wait.

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

dude, my mom can barely handle email.

it's all caps and wrongly-formed links to colosctomey pages.

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Sunday, 18 January 2004 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

my Mum wouldn't be interested in posting to ILX.

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 18 January 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

My mom would have to care about computers first.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

My Mum was cremated five years ago, so I don't think she'll be making an appearance here any time soon. (Hope not anyway, otherwise I'll be well and truly freaked out!)

C J (C J), Sunday, 18 January 2004 14:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i want you people to stop hanging around with my son and leading him astray. you are a bad influence. since he started posting here he has been stopping out til ungodly hours in the morning, throwing bizarre American collaquialisms at me and referring to 'chickenbears' and other unholy abominations. he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

stevem's mum (blueski), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Mrsblueski, please tell us why, you had to go away for so long, where did we go wrong?

The Electric Light Orchestra (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

My mum can't post here because her and my dad are out birdwatching.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

If it wasn't for me he would never have discovered mango lassi, so ner.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:07 (twenty-one years ago)

yeh but that shit needs ice and lots of it. in fact maybe just liquified sorbet is all we need.

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, if we didn't drive both your asses to Southall...

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:11 (twenty-one years ago)

*bows in acknowledgement*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Though wait a minute, you can't blame Stevem or anything, he joined us separately.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:13 (twenty-one years ago)

i love Ned and both his asses

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

They are curvaceous.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Mrs.Blueski, you must have very good genetics indeed to have given your son such a fine head of hair!

That really was my mum up there. It amuses me that her friends have taken to calling her Margo. Except that's the WRONG CHARACTER from The Good Life.

the river fleet, Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Well so it appears no on else has a mother that does the internet! Kate says to ask Ned about my bloody valentine. i know nothing about this nor do I care! she insists that i have haerd it. Living with Kate i have heard many things. I do not remeber. i did like spiritualised! that was rather moving. Enough already.

Margo, Sunday, 18 January 2004 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Margo, your posts make me so happy & they make me miss my Mom who lives far away. Thanks for posting.

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Sunday, 18 January 2004 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Who drove Ned and who to me what where when?

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Sunday, 18 January 2004 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Kate says to ask Ned about my bloody valentine. i know nothing about this nor do I care!

There is nothing wrong with this attitude towards things! :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I think my mom is with my dad at the horse track. Mom on ILX would be a bad idea given the number of dirty jokes I make. Although she does love South Park so maybe it wouldn't be bad.

teeny (teeny), Sunday, 18 January 2004 16:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm so proud of Adam pissing away his days on ILX. He made me the Rough Guide To Crunk yesterday.

Mrs East Bay Crackhaus (nordicskilla), Sunday, 18 January 2004 16:43 (twenty-one years ago)

hee hee!

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

my parents are away in florida right now. this is good, trust me.

tweemu (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:20 (twenty-one years ago)

My mom on ILX would not be a good idea. At ALL. She's barely worked out CAPS LOCK on her computer.

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

thankfully my mom has spent enough time in the secretarial pool to know the function of the shift key.

tweemu (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

hell, for all I know my mom lurks. It's not like my name isn't easily googleable here. Though I only refer to this place as "this messageboard I'm on" when I have to mention it to her.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:26 (twenty-one years ago)

My mother sent an email to an ilxor once.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:28 (twenty-one years ago)

My mother scared the hell out of an ilxor once just by showing up at his gig with my sister.

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:33 (twenty-one years ago)

If you'd like to start a thread about Anglican Theology, I'm sure you'll find people who would be willing to discuss it with you. Of course, there might also be some unpleasantness.

Casuistry (Chris P), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

All my mother would have to do is see the exchange between me and Dan Perry about Halle Berry and I would be disowned. Trust me.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm...*checks archive*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah yes. That WOULD do it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 18 January 2004 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread is very disappointing

oops (Oops), Sunday, 18 January 2004 21:23 (twenty-one years ago)

yo mama

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 18 January 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

hey mami

oops (Oops), Sunday, 18 January 2004 21:31 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the thread where you get your Mum to post to ILX!

Over my dead body.

As Sweet As Melody (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 19 January 2004 05:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I could probably get my mom to post to this thread pretty easily.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 19 January 2004 05:15 (twenty-one years ago)

*taps foot impatiently*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 19 January 2004 05:16 (twenty-one years ago)

She's probably asleep, you impatient man!

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 19 January 2004 05:22 (twenty-one years ago)

WELL FINE

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 19 January 2004 05:23 (twenty-one years ago)

My son is both annoying and unpleasant. What kind of person berates his own mother for being overweight and unshaggable?

C-Mum, Monday, 19 January 2004 05:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Hello, this is Mark's mum here. Mark is... hmm, I can't quite think of the right adjectives. Can anyone help?

Mark's mum (Mark C), Monday, 19 January 2004 13:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, I wish I could do this, but i fear the consequences!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 19 January 2004 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Mark's mum, you need to ask an ILXer called Doomie for a definitive ans.

Andrew L (Andrew L), Monday, 19 January 2004 13:43 (twenty-one years ago)

mark's mum, i think you found the correct adjective several years ago, if an anecdote he tells us is true...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 19 January 2004 14:04 (twenty-one years ago)

My mother has emailed SEVERAL ILXors. She probably already posts.

Allyzay, Monday, 19 January 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm, that is the correct key for cApS riGHt? She must have typed the link wrong b/c I just COPIED it to her! I am out of practice, yes, but only get on the computer now to see if one of my kids e-mailed me.If "our" generation would have had the access to computers as long as most of you..we would be better at it. Music? it doesn't seem like your asking..thAnxs!

dallas-girl's mom, Monday, 19 January 2004 20:01 (twenty-one years ago)

That was my mother. I'm not sure what she's saying actually. but there she is. ;)

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Monday, 19 January 2004 20:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, she rules, and you tell her that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 19 January 2004 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi ILX MOMS!!

sucka (sucka), Monday, 19 January 2004 22:07 (twenty-one years ago)

three months pass...
^

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

It's funny how the old wheel of circles turns.

@d@mlsmum (Chuck Tatum), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I still wish she hadn't registered that ridiculously provincial domain name.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:45 (twenty-one years ago)

But yes, she does have a nice way with creative aphorisms.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

nordmum is my new favourite word

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Be Twee Ned?

Leeefuse 73 (Leee), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned will just stare up your mom's skirt.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha I sense a meme coming.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 20:13 (twenty-one years ago)

It's already here!

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 20:14 (twenty-one years ago)

...and now it's gone.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

My mum's post would be confusing like Sam's mom's one was... but I wont tell her about ILX, I already got into enough poo when she found my LJ and now knows I smoke w33d :(

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 02:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I can not wait to do this.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 03:12 (twenty-one years ago)

...and now it's gone.

Yeah, I'm with you. Did I miss something?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I was waiting for Aja's mum!

Barima (Barima), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 09:46 (twenty-one years ago)
