Free Martha!

And here I was feeling guilty about the flannel bedsheets I got for Christmas.

Kerry (dymaxia), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 22:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I like her. I would have done the same thing, to be honest.

the Eskibox (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 22:52 (twenty-one years ago)

...maybe worse...

the Eskibox (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 22:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Martha.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Martha is a touch crazy but excellent.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm a little too relaxed to like her.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:51 (twenty-one years ago)

But she introduced the world to Captain Crunch treats that are made the same way as rice crispie treats! And for that alone, she has made mankind richer.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 20 January 2004 23:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I renounce my DNA to live among the weevils.

I've always liked Martha. I love watching her shows to see what creative things she's going to do next. I recognize that I will most probably never actually do anything she does on that program, but it's lovely seeing someone else artfully decorate emptied-out eggshells or create a cake that looks like a wicker basket full of flowers, for example.

CAP'N CRUNCH TREATS??? ARE YOU FOR REAL???

Allyzay, Wednesday, 21 January 2004 02:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, I don't. BITCH GOT WHAT SHE DESERV'D. ROT IN HELL, HAG!

Where is the hate?!

My mom presides her fan club, probably (Francis Watlington), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 02:42 (twenty-one years ago)

it's a good thing.

colette (a2lette), Wednesday, 21 January 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I've always liked Martha and she did nothing that 3/4's of the Stock Buying Public wouldn't do, if they had a chance. It's only the fact that she got CAUGHT that made her a villian.

It's like people who cruise through STOP signs: if YOU do it, it's okay. If someone ELSE does it, they're Eeeevil, and should be arrested.

Besides, my home and life are nicer and more enjoyable because of her magazine and show.

Psychokitty, Thursday, 22 January 2004 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

"Martha and she did nothing that 3/4's of the Stock Buying Public wouldn't do..."

But a big part of the Feds case is that she has gone and tried to cover it up after the fact.

It was pretty stupid to risk her entire billion dollar business on one bad stock investment, which mind you if she held out, it would have worked out as that stock rebounded this year.

Here is her tower of cereal treats! One of them is Cap'n Crunch and then the others are something like Cocoa Crispies and Fruity Pebbles. It is insane and brilliant and someday I will make one.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 22 January 2004 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

You totally should.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 23 January 2004 02:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I find her very annoying. This is mitigated somewhat, however, by the fact that her hair is fantastic.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 23 January 2004 02:54 (twenty-one years ago)

gotta stand up for a fellow jersey polack YO

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 23 January 2004 03:33 (twenty-one years ago)

The new issueof her magazine had her mom's recipe for pierogies.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 23 January 2004 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

my dad would be so proud if i brought her home w/ me for dinner. he'd probably tell her to go to the kitchen and make him some golompki and kielbasa, though.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 23 January 2004 03:54 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...
omg thank you El Diablo Robotico for finding that picture! I've been looking for it ever since I had my fever-dream of the biggest rice krispie treat in the world.
