Should it happen? Will it happen?

Helen Fordsdale, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ethics cannot stop Man's increasing advance in understanding medical and biological matters. Should it happen? We'll find a way to do so, therefore it will happen, end of the story.

I see no moral reason for it not happening. I'm pretty sure it'll remain a relatively expensive or complicated method of producing a person (compared to the more usual process) so it won't happen excessively (unlike with cloning plants) which WOULD be bad for the usual "monoculture" reasons

Alan Trewartha, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh honey, it's been happening in the gay ghettoes for years.

Geoff, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it can happen nowdays .it should happen to save people from 4000 diseases . wouldn't that be great?

kostantinos, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no, no, no. because people will just make 5 or 6 little couture aryan copies of themselves instead of having kids. not that they should have kids either, mind you, but if you insist on spawning, it should make you suffer as much as possible.

your null fame, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think it sounds absolutely horrible and terrible but it will happen anyway because my defense isn't logical enough.

Maria, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think it'll be a long, long time before it happens just because so many people have moral objections to it.

Ally, Monday, 15 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

can anyone imagine if Hanle y was cloned? or Ethan?

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i'd rather just make a new person with him the old fashioned way.

ethan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Whats the old fashioned way for two hot blooded males like yourselves?

Ronan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

alchemy-aided immaculate conception.

ethan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yeah, I mean, duh.

Kim, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I thought Hanle y could perform a miracle.

Now I don't believe in nothin'

Ronan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)
