On the other hand, Grobbendonk had genuine charisma. In spite of basically resembling little more than a talking slug, his sense of courage and indomitable spirit far outweighed his diminutive stature.
And don't forget how he saved Nemesis' life - when Nemesis went to see his uncle, it was Grobbendonk who tipped him off about the poisoning attempt. Without Grobbendonk there would have been no Nemesis to spearhead the resistance, and the Termight Empire would hold sway wholly unopposed.
