Clearly, this should be a picture thread!

Post pictures of where I might have left it! I'll go first!

greta! cos losing your wallet causes anxiety and unhappiness that seems way beyond what it rationally should...

Losing your wallet is serendipity, truly. But only because the girl who worked at the bc transit lost and found the day I went in to recover my wayward wallet was incredibly hot, and would eventually accompany me on multiple social engagements.

Tghis happened to me the other day. Fortunatly everything had run out, so I'm not too bothered about itm, but even so, its SOOO inconvenient. I've got a hot dinner date this weekend as well - I can't go in sans wallet. I might have to put it off, all cos I lost m wallet. I hope I lost it, rather than having it pinched, cos then its lying in a gutter somewhere and I havn't been the victim of some horrible card fraud thing.

I had mine stolen on the 17th Jan, I phoned Lloyds TSB up one day last week, wondering where my 2 of my 3 replacement cards were (one of them having been delivered) and was assured that they were on their way. I phoned up again today, and they've managed to completely balls it up. Apparently 'refreshed' cards were sent out on the 18th (a sunday) and I should have got them by now, but they weren't replacement cards from my phone call(?!)

So after two weeks I'm back to square one with them ordering new cards. Grrr.

one year passes...
I lost my wallet yesterday and it was in one of these three places: My mother's bedroom, my room, or on the city bus. I can't remember where though and I swear I had my wallet at all these times. I know I removed my keys and whatnot from my pockets here at home but I don't remember removing my wallet or if it was even there when I was clearing out my pockets, and I can't find it anywhere that I'd normally put it or anywhere obvious that I'd been.

I really hope I didn't lose it on the bus because I had my Social Security card, my last bank receipt, money for the city bus, and my only ID (a student ID). I have to carry all of those because I go into the bank all the time and need them for that purpose if I don't get to go up to any of the tellers that I'm acquainted with.

five years pass...

Misplaced my drivers license, which was in my wallet.

If I don't find it soon I will cease being a real person and will start to fade ala Marty's brother and sister in Back to the Future.

bear, bear, bear, Tuesday, 4 January 2011 06:36 (fourteen years ago)

Anyone ever done it while stuck in a foreign country? TELL US YOUR TALE.

heh (kelpolaris), Tuesday, 4 January 2011 06:38 (fourteen years ago)

In CA it's $25 plus a trip to the DMV, plus waiting to get it in the mail. I'm at the worst part of losing something, where, if I haven't found it by now, I won't find it for three weeks (if ever) and when I do it'll be randomly.

Cunga, Tuesday, 4 January 2011 06:48 (fourteen years ago)

I've been through 3 OR id's ($35ish) in the last two years, but losing 2 passports (on US ground thankfully) was a bummer as they both disappeared perilously close to overseas trips. that plus losing yr fancy stamp collection from the last one plus expiditing fees or whatever. lol adult me quit misplacing yr shit.
