Usually I'm at work and just passing the time between tedious little tasks -- so between 10am and 6pm GMT. Browsing at home way past my bedtime, I still notice some posts going up from england-land.

I used to post & read @ work, but I had to remove the modem from the komputer, 'cuz it was fux0ring up my job. Now I'm posting from home, and yes, it's 12.56 'ere in northern brit-land, and having just machine-gunned loads ov nazi robots in quake 2 , I'm off to bed.

xoxo

Work. Home. Fun! When: most of the time.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 16 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I stay up too late posting sometimes. This evening this is because I've been IMing Ethan and Fred, though.

Tom, Tuesday, 16 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Just from home. Always at night unless I'm off work for the day and sometimes on lazy weekend afternoons.

Kim, Tuesday, 16 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am awake late writing a review for S&S: but I have allowed myself to be distracted as per usual. What is IMing and shd it be on the best-sex-ever thread, being hymned by geoff?

Mike Hanle y, Tuesday, 16 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It all depends. Most posting is done at home. But when I get the chance, I also check the board at work.

Helen Fordsdale, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Just recently I've been posting at all times off the day...but usually mainly in the evenings. Posting on the weekends is a nice laid back affair. The time now is 8:45 am...I'm tired.

Home. Anytime.

No interweb @ home (probably good for general sanity, bad for eBay necessary purchases, boredom and general DORKINESS) so I'm a "post from work" girl. Whilst visiting my parents house however, with unmetered access and EFF-ALL to do, I seemed to be on at the same times that I post @ work, ie, 9-6 or so.

My post-pub ILE posts could yet be interesting though, unless a repeat of the Picnic In The Sky lack of inspiration happened and I just went to bed. Mmmm bed.

MarXoR - IMing = Instant Messaging. You go to aol.com (or one of the many places that does it) and then you download its Instant Messager software and choose a screen-name (mine is TomFT26 tho the green pastures of 26-dom are behind me now alas) and then people can chat to you if you are online. Last night was particularly meta because as well as actually posting on ILM I was having a running commentary with Ethan on IM about the posting, and I was talking to Fred about I think The Strokes. It is good though would be a terrible medium to conduct a love affair.

They still haven't connected up the phone in my room (which is run by an Al-Queda cartel who want 3p/min off-peak and charge even more for 0800/0845 numbers), so at the minute either in a uni computer lab at lunch or spending far too much time in I Love EasyEverything. I can read and post from my Psion organiser + mobile phone (+ no cables. Yay), so I've been using that in the evenings, and also use it everywhere, hence drunken posts on the train home from ILE gatherings, because I can.

Pre-Uni I was known to stay up til 5am posting from my bedroom via my shattered dream of unmetered access.

"It is good though would be a terrible medium to conduct a love affair."

you're right about that, brother.

jess, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

At work, when I'm bored. Or if I'm having trouble sleeping -- not to imply that ile puts me to sleep...

Hey, some of us have no choice in the matter. If it wasn't for Hotmail Messenger, Ally and I would, like, actually have to phone each other! I post to ILE at work. Sometimes all day, sometimes only at lunchtime. I aim for the latter, obviously.

Madchen, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I post at work. I try to intersperse actual work in between posts/readings though.

i rarely ever get on-line at home though. Far more interesting things going on.

Samantha, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

College, Home, and formerly work.

I'm putting off going back to work one day a week cos I'm lazy and I want my free wednesdays and I'm loaded at the moment also.

Ronan, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

at home, playing with my testicles.

Geoff, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Then and only then?
