Chernikhov is fantastic, as is constructivism in general. I've always been a big fan of the state 'advertising' work that Rodchenko and Mayakovsky did in the mid to late '20s. I saw an exhibition of Chernikhov's drawings and paintings in Ann Arbor back in the early '90s that was incredible. He's so machine-obsessed; Le Corbusier may have designed buildings that were meant to be 'machines for living', but Chernikhov designed buildings that were just enormous meaningless machines to satisfy his own industrialization fetish.
