You think I'm kidding, do you? Insightful commentary or self-interested rambling?

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The latter. His line of reasoning implies that only film makers have the imagination to think of these things. Um, no.

RickyT, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah, cause and effect getting a bit muddy there. You might as well blame the Holocaust on The Merchant of Venice.

he be senile.

katie, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Robert Altman sucks and so does his rhetoric.

Ally, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

One of the stupidest comments related to the attacks so far -- and there have been some doozies.

all the clues one needs to understand the 11th of the 9th are in Beavis & Butthead Do america & fight club.

Geoff, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ho ho but did ya see Oliver Stones version of events? Ace.

Sarah, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think that link's wrong.

Richard Tunnicliffe, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ah yes it does seem to be fucked, doesn't it. Never mind eh! They'll unshackle me from my desk very soon and I'll be released to wander the streets of London for a few hours for lack of anything more appealing to do.

Sarah, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hm. Stone sucked down too much doobage, didn't he? I'm with Shaye, but I would be, though for different reasons -- having just reread The Lord of the Rings, I'm now struck at how well and how thoroughly Tolkien meditates on the nature of revenge and the consequences of doing the 'right' thing. Arguably it's the core moral argument at the heart of the book, and if the films can contain and show that, I'll be most impressed.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually I've just realised I don't care what Robert Altman or Oliver Stone thinks. I wish I realised I didn't care about that sooner!

Sarah, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually, the link worked for me just now. *shrug*

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hold on, but Ned saw it?! Oh god, just put me out of my misery today, it's nearly BuffyDay....

Sarah, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It just worked for me now as well. Strange.

RickyT, Wednesday, 17 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You called, RickyT?
