uh, it's still cold here.

Huckadelphia (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Easy, Ian, it's still only February. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security that Spring hath Sprung. The hammer of Winter isn't finished just yet.

man, it was horrible today, like 14 degrees or something :( yuck!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

It's -17 C here right now which is actually quite nice. With the windchill it's -28 C but I'm just not gonna think about that. It's very sunny and beautiful and certainly warmer than the -50 C windchill weather we had last week.

That's a gorgeous Estwing, Alex. I hope you don't want to use it to cave my skull in for constantly jibber jabbering about how cold it is here.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:26 (twenty-two years ago)

It's been cold here too, Bryan.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know if it's fair for us NYCers to complain to a guy from Winnipeg about the cold.

hstencil, Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Fucking gorgeous in London today (except for hata Jel)... I sat out in the park and read a book during lunchtime. In JANUARY!

God bless global warming.

Wind Chill Factor = Hot-o-meter on chili sauce bottles. A way to dramatize and dazzle, and elicit sympathy.

andy, Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Alright, February, then...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

That's too bad, Alex. The hammer of winter is pretty nice anyway. It's ok hstencil. It's all relative. I think NY was even colder than we were for 3 or 4 days.

True, Stence. Especially todaty. But, our heat hasn't been working in the past few weeks, so I especially feel like I'm living in a goddamn igloo (albeit one with a cable modem).

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

when you were in NYC making it cold, I was in Winnipeg and it was hot.

hstencil, Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:33 (twenty-two years ago)

x-post with myself:

your heat hasn't been working? Man that's the worst. Sorry.

hstencil, Wednesday, 4 February 2004 22:34 (twenty-two years ago)

No worries, Stence. That which does not kill me only makes me complain more.
