There are lots of apes like Koko. People, esp. Chomskists argue about their abilities. Or at least they were when I wrote my dissertation on them 10 years ago.

I found the article interesting, but maybe a bit disjointed. coincidentally I have borrowed a DVD of "Cabaret" from my sister, and will look out for the ape-suit bit.
