I might be coming to London on my birthday (23rd) & I was wondering what we could do. We are quite skint due to the house situ *sniff* but there must be some budget fun to be had. I thought you lot, being insiders & all, could point me in the right direction!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, FAP?

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought about it, but I am pretty skint & it's a Monday night.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Sam Smiths FAP.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

After the trainer shopping of course! (thanks mum & dad!)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

wetherspoons FAP.

with dinner at pollo first.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Pollo?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmm, Madchen to thread.

chris (chris), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

very cheap italian place on old compton street. you can get garlic bread and pasta for under £5, and very cheap house wine. and i think it's pretty yummy for being so cheap.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Birthday FAP = not paying for drinks, jah? So come on down, the price is right! Sam Smiths, woot - round of 7 drinks (inc. 2 spirits/mixers) last night was £13.50.

Also, free art galleries, if you like that kind of thing. Not bastard Saatchi, curse his evil trousers for evermore.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I was kind of thinking art galleries Liz, any recommendations?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe you can just blag drinks off all us ILXers all night pinky, wahoo

stevem (blueski), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, yeah I can see the thread the following day. Skanking fuxor ilxor bleeds us dry. c or d?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Pollo is the filthiest restaurant in Soho. Madchen finally put me off with the tale of the cockroach on the ceiling. The food was nice though

chris (chris), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

*shudders* I would rather starve!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

chris that was an authentic cockroach you philistine - i hear they're quite tasty too

stevem (blueski), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

*cries*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

so should we put 'pinkpanther-- cheap FAP' in the diary? or is this still being decided?

colette (a2lette), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Hm, not sure. We have got some stuff to do, so I wouldn't wanna say for definite yet or anything. it would be cool to meet up with some of you though. Maybe a few pints after work or summit? I'll have a little think!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe a few pints after work or summit = Dictionary definition of a cheap FAP

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

haha!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Ricardo (RickyT), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah (starry), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

In fairness, it was a Nipper story which I relayed to you Cabbage.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:46 (twenty-two years ago)

good source of art info

Also obv big galleries and places like Vic & Albert for pretty-things fix.

CheapoFAP is urgent and key though, especially as I may bid away my soul on the dogs in Walthamstow tomorrow*. Somebody stop me!

Ooooh Starry, the Nut Brown Ale. I had one of those after lunch a while ago and it was a bit of a struggle, like scoffing an entire Christmas pudding in one go.

* actually I don't think I have one, waah.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

it's still nasty

x-post

chris (chris), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it was the the fact you scoffed yourself on lunch first dude, the nut brown ale slips down a treat personally, but then again I might just be an ALEHOUND.

Quite frankly I think it should be a WETHERSPOONS FAP! Crosse Keys! Guest b33rs! Even cheaper food than Pollo!*

*i am not expecting anyone to take me up on this but if you do i will be pleasantly surprised, wetherspoons haters = rub

Sarah (starry), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark C and I have both witnessed vermin in a Wetherspoons pub too.

Maybe London is just a filthy place.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe you attract vermin. Ooh I'm horrible.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks Liz.

I want Christmas Pudding Ale!!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Ahem don't kill me.

xpost.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Liz, I dig you in the ribs for your cheeky ways.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Youngs Winter Warmer is a little Christmas Pud reminiscent

stevem (blueski), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

It's time to stop pussying out, Yorke, and pick up a guitar and fucking strike it!

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

people could all just come to my flat and drink wine and whatever they bring. it's not big, but i don't care about pissing my flatmate off since i'm moving out because she's annoying.

colette (a2lette), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Erm???
If I do have a fap, the condition of coming is that you have to talk to me! haha, that'll stop ppl from coming!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:13 (twenty-two years ago)
