What type of holiday do you like/make? Do you like to take short trips? Do you like to bake in the sun or do you prefer visiting museums? Do you drags 100 pounds of videocameras and photo cameras with you? Do you travel light (à la Tindesticks) or do you pack all yer clothes *just in case*.

I go to the seaside...and think wow it'd be great to live out here...away from the city...Definetely not a sun and sex and drinking type of holiday person am I. But, I often find myself lamenting the state of teh local record shops!

I like going to places where I already know people, either IRL or via the Net, because that means you can get to enjoy things above and beyond The Tourist Approach. Hanging around with a circle of friends new and old in a pub in London beats going to Buckingham Palace, say, which I've never done and don't really want to do.

I saunter round foriegn cities and go into bars and cafes and pose.

I think I would like to go to a wet, flat beach out of season, out of the way and build sand castles and kick a ball around. In the drizzle, in my coat. And have plaice and chips in an empty seaside caff.

Or go water-skiing in Hawaii.

I like holidays that last for ten minutes. I just went on holiday right now, to the photocopying room. It was nice.

food and drink, and wondering aimlessly round places, either take a coin and flip it at juntions or visualise what I want and let my body take me (found the best tavola calda in florence by doing this), always carry a camera, often IRL too, sometimes a map and book related to where I am
