So Triumph the Insult Comic Dog came on and I sort of forgot everything else that subsequently happened because I was busy (a) laughing and (b) being horrified

you damn americans and your specialty comedy channels that actually carry comedy!

Huckleberry Friend, Monday, 9 February 2004 05:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Was this TV Funhouse, Nate? If you really want to be horrified, check out the episode of that where Triumph and his friends go to Vegas. I have two words for you: chimp stripper.

Prude (Prude), Monday, 9 February 2004 05:17 (twenty-two years ago)

no, this was Space Ghost Coast to Coast tonight; Triumph was the guest and once he cracked about banging Lassie up the ass it took a turn for the super-wrong

nate detritus (natedetritus), Monday, 9 February 2004 05:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I miss Space Ghost so much. Is any of it on DVD so I can buy it over here in Limeyland, where I am in comedy exile?

Catty (Catty), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Yup, the first season is on DVD, available for probably pretty cheap on Amazon. It cost $20 here at Tower for a 2 DVD set.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

that's the one where he tries to get lassie to be the spokesdog for his association to rid the world of retardos, but lassie ends up dying, so he has to get triumph to do it.

retardos.

the angry cowboy (dick), Monday, 9 February 2004 14:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I have to see this, that's all there is to it.

I've also been informed that since I've been cable deprived for the last seven months, I've missed no less than THREE episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force involving the Mooninites (the dvds are gold though).

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 9 February 2004 15:06 (twenty-two years ago)

The first season is on DVD, but there's simply not enough screentime for Brak and Moltar, thus it's largley not worth it.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 9 February 2004 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Is Brak on Coast to Coast at all? I thought he was just in Cartoon Planet...

Prude (Prude), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

He made the odd cameo.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Key word there being: odd.

"I Like Hubcaps" by Brak is the only reason I still have a CMJ Sampler disc.
Because no stores in my area have ever carried Brak's albums, and I'm too ashamed to ask for it. I guess I could order it on the fancy internet or wherever.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Or you could download some!

Prude (Prude), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

The Thom Yorke, Bjork episode is pants wettingly good. If you can find it, Moltar's web page is as good as the show. The Christmas lights page, well I can't look at it in one sitting or I'll spit coffee out of my nose. Linda....
Last time I tried to find it ,though, it was down.

pants wettingly good.

heh heh heh

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

and BTW, the DVD set isn't Season One, it's Volume One. Not complete by any means.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Ahem.

bnw (bnw), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

(Hm. That link kinda sucks. The point was, Harvery Birdman has a show as a lawyer.)

bnw (bnw), Monday, 9 February 2004 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I think my favorite episode of C2C is the all-singing/all-dancing one with Steve Allen as guest (where Brak sings "On the Street").

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

"I Like Hubcaps" by Brak is the only reason I still have a CMJ Sampler disc.

I think I still have that same one! It also has Tin Hat Trio and Dose One/Boombip's "Birdchaser's Lament" and Amon Tobin's "Get Yr Snack On".

I always wanted to do a mashup of the Amon Tobin & Brak songs and call it "Get Yr Brak On".

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, the Tin Hat Trio is good too, but I have THT albums.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:12 (twenty-two years ago)

"Get Yr Brak On"

Hahaha

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Banjo! BANJO!!

WHY DO WE ALWAYS HURT THE ONES WE LOVE?!

I don't know which is funnier - Space Ghost saying those words, or the storytime old man reciting them.
