Kalashnikov is responsible for designing the weapon that has caused more mayhem in the world than perhaps any other, at least over the last 40 years... this seems kind of a flip reaction. Is he senile or something? I saw interviews with him a few years ago, and he seemed like a very grave, sober guy.
