Not like I was voting for him anyway, but...food for thought

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:19 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHAHAHAHA, this is fucking hilarious. CNN just posted a story implying that Kerry is a Jane Fonda toting pinko.

I LUUUUUV the media today.

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:27 (twenty-two years ago)

well, if the media can crucify poor Howard Dean (who I don't like) for giving what was tantamount to a pep talk, they'll tar and feather Kerry with this....

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:32 (twenty-two years ago)

oh good god he OPPOSED A WAR EVERYONE HATED and even John McNamera admits was a mistake! Who gives a fuck.

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:53 (twenty-two years ago)

the feeble, fickle public, that's who

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, didn't the public vote for Clinton as well?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:56 (twenty-two years ago)

yes - proof that one will never go broke underestimating the american public

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:57 (twenty-two years ago)

This is kinda like gay marriage; both Kerry and Bush lose on this issue. Like, if Bush goes on about this, Kerry can go "If you liked the war on vietnam so much, why didn't you marry it?" (or "volunteer to fight in it"). Everyone loses.

Sym (shmuel), Thursday, 12 February 2004 08:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Sym, totally otm this time

roger adultery (roger adultery), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:00 (twenty-two years ago)

What I meant was, Clinton was against the Vietnam war as well, and he didn't do any military service at all. Plus he smoked ganja. Wasn't all this known back in 1992?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:01 (twenty-two years ago)

"this time" in an ominous voice...
Tuomas, it's a big deal because voters now care about how America interacts with other countries. It wasn't really an issue in the last 3 elections.

Sym (shmuel), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Come on, this is exactly what Kerry has said all along. He fought like a motherfucker, then came home and said that it was a useless act. That's the kind of leader I want. One who knows the meaning of both duty and desent.

Speedy Gonzalas (Speedy Gonzalas), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

So because of Iraq Americans have begun to love the Vietnam war?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:16 (twenty-two years ago)

B/c of Iraq Americans hate the UN, for one thing (watch me generalize, everyone!).

Sym (shmuel), Thursday, 12 February 2004 09:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Whatever the rights or wrongs of what he said then, the thing to remember is that he said it 34 years ago. It would be quite mindboggling if a politician view's didn't alter over that long a time frame with the benefit of experience and reflecting on what has happened since. It's what they say they're going to do now which counts.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Thursday, 12 February 2004 10:23 (twenty-two years ago)

B/c of Iraq Americans hate the UN, for one thing (watch me generalize, everyone!).

I don't think most americans really know what the UN is and probably have no opinion on it. They might hate France.

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Thursday, 12 February 2004 15:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr Adultery, don't you think the fact that America is waking up to the wrongness of the Iraq conflict might actually mean that an anti-war stance (in a conflict which ended up causing massive losses of people and pride to the American nation) might actually be seen as a good thing?

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 12 February 2004 15:37 (twenty-two years ago)

cnn = pravda.

what did my grandmother leave communist poland, again?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 12 February 2004 15:38 (twenty-two years ago)

All kind of evil fuckers will vote against and campaign against the Democratic candidate.

We know that now, we knew it last week, we knew it last year, we knew it 4, 14 and probably 40 years ago.

Fuck 'em.

the pinefox, Thursday, 12 February 2004 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

But almost 34 years later, Kerry’s remarks on American military and intelligence operations vastly diverge from opinions expressed by the present-day Sen. John F. Kerry, D.-Mass., the leading candidate in the Democratic primary for president.

Ha! Sounds like Kerry's got the politico disease: "Wanna buy an opinion? For sale to the highest bidder [in this case, the possibilty of winning the High Chair in the election]."

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 12 February 2004 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

pinefox swore!

pulpo, Thursday, 12 February 2004 16:32 (twenty-two years ago)

gee, it's as if people can't change their minds -- you have to hold the same exact opinions when yer a fifty-something that you did when yer a twenty-something. or else yer a liar, or whatever.

and i'm not even a big kerry fan ... amazing!
