Where is that Spencer? I want to go there, flip the room over, and dance on the lighted tiles.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Friday, 1 October 2004 21:20 (nineteen years ago) link

haha, It's the Huntington near Pasadena. You can almost make out The Blue Boy on the right.

Kind of a private affair, really. Don't click at work, though.

Bloody Old Guy, Friday, 1 October 2004 21:38 (nineteen years ago) link

that is horrifying... clicked at work... i sit in front of an old man who reads over my shoulder... very awkward... my own fault, really.

Jesus.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 1 October 2004 21:46 (nineteen years ago) link

People always click at work. Even when you tell them not to! Sorry, firstworldman. Did the old man over your shoulder happen to notice?

firstworldman: Your pictures are... stunning. Stunningly beautiful, that is.

zappi: Your pictures remind me of Nick Rhodes' Interference!!

Laura E: That bit of Engrish is PRICELESS. *applause*

I need to take some more pictures. Now that I've actually got a regular camera back up and running, which is good, because I got SO TIRED of one-time-use only cameras.

Pentonville Heights/The Chapel Bar -

Ha! I recognize that place. I've been to Chapel Hill exactly once with my little brother, and we must've driven through that intersection 36 times looking for a parking spot.

Greig (treefell), Friday, 8 October 2004 20:30 (nineteen years ago) link

The first one was just too big (the image parser here only displays images up to a certain size). The second one seems to have been the non-public version of the URL.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 11 October 2004 01:54 (nineteen years ago) link

those squiggles are great sean

but the ones above look to be victims of the resizing - all the diagonal lines look horrible (i think using cubic interpolation when resizing will help)

I'll try that...but yeah, they were coming down from 6.3 megapixel images. The larger versions in the directory should look better...just didn't want to put the really large ones here cause they'd blow out the screen.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 11 October 2004 14:45 (nineteen years ago) link

Hm, actually cubic made them even worse. I'd better look into this further.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 11 October 2004 15:26 (nineteen years ago) link

I love these squiggles! What camera do you use Sean?

Ratchet (nordicskilla), Monday, 11 October 2004 15:28 (nineteen years ago) link

It's a Nikon D70, on shutter-priority and set to 15 second exposure (mostly).

That was east of Toronto, north of the 401 somewhere. Can't remember the specific place though!
