You must triumph over the evil.

the stairmaster is the devil's own work. the elliptical machines are much more forgiving, but still give you a good workout.

Don't give up, little grasshopper buddy. Same thing happens/ed to me when I'd begin biking / training eliptically. It gets better. Just set a routine, and don't try to do too much all at once - slow & steady etc etc etc. I'm trying (YET AGAIN) to work some exercise into my slovenly lifestyle, and this time I'm going to start slow (i.e. start @ 20-25 push-ups instead of 50; do 100 crunches instead of 150-200) instead of getting into a stupid LOSE 27 POUNDS IN 30 MINUTES frame of mind.

Walk it off. Really.

Dude, jess, you're exercising.. that's awesome.. you'll be sore for about a few days, but will go away soon. you'll feel much better once you break yourself in.

This thread reminds me of the television movie of the Russian gymist Nadia, who endevoured to lose weight to compete in something? She gained it all back again, obviously. Try playing 'Eye of the Tiger' or something.
