Playing guitar left-handed

This thread is in response to Aja's birthday presesnt.
I'm now officially jealous. You get a guitar for your birthday. I had to buy my own. It's not even a left handed one. I got a Stratocaster and I play it upside down. The way the strings are supposed to go makes no sense. The highest-pitched strings are at the bottom? Hello? I know very little about electric guitars. After all, my main instrument is still the piano. So I go about my house with my upside down guitar, without an amp, playing Eagles music. And miss Aja kitty gets a left-handed one, as a presesnt, and I'm stuck here. However I still like the Jimmy Hendrix approach.
So Miss Paul McCartney,
Congratulations and lots of love from Dante!

Aja (aja), Sunday, 15 February 2004 22:07 (twenty-two years ago)

You..you..lucky..bi..big sweetie.

Dante-Cubed (Sean3), Sunday, 15 February 2004 22:09 (twenty-two years ago)

On my other guitar I have a strap that looks like police tape.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 15 February 2004 22:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Dante-Cubed (Sean3), Sunday, 15 February 2004 22:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Aja (aja), Sunday, 15 February 2004 22:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 15 February 2004 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

What's guitar pedal?

Dante-Cubed (Sean3), Monday, 16 February 2004 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

It is the method by which guitar farmers harvest guitars once they have reached their ripest stage

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 16 February 2004 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Sometimes they intentionally let them grow overripe; thus seven-string guitars are born into this world.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 16 February 2004 01:29 (twenty-two years ago)

13 year old gear-heads unite.

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 16 February 2004 02:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Sean, just re-string it you dip.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Monday, 16 February 2004 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Re-stringing is the way forward. Hendrix played right-handed guitars upside-down didn't he? I'm sure he re-strung it.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 16 February 2004 11:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 16 February 2004 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 16 February 2004 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you want me to ask for a left handed bass player? I think that's a lot harder.

Aja (aja), Monday, 16 February 2004 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

A left handed FEMALE bass player!

Also, I want one of those guitars with TWO NECKS!

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 16 February 2004 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I could only find a male left handed bass player.
