Yoko Ono was ruined by the Beatles

I feel certain (albeit with limited knowledge) that her art was much interesting before she met Lennon. I went to her exhib in London yesterday and while it was brilliantly executed, I got the nagging feeling that I expected more of her, beyond telling us that war and poverty are bad things. I wonder how she would have turned out had she never met Lennon.

She wouldn't be as well known and would still be wealthy as fuck as Daddy was a zillionaire.

We found ourselves talking on the way about Ono's money. I'm interested to discover she would still have had humungous resources at her disposal.

interesting how her career has developed this alternative course for real anyway (obv. not her fault conspiracy watchers).
she became a superstar through lennon, endured 12 or so years of beatings, drug-buddyism, infidelity and (depending if you believe the rumours) virtual seperation for the last 6 odd years of their marraige. since then she's been stately widow in mourning, feminist icon and revered influence over the avant-garde in art and on record.
not a bad return eh?

That's pretty faithful to the original album version.

She's 81 and she's rocking out and NGAF. More power to her.

Pretty LOL that emabums is still around. Thought youtube would've killed it off.
