Well, are you?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 16 February 2004 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I apparently do not measure up:

You're really only a second-rate cynic. Actually, you aren't cynical as much as world-weary, and sometimes you have a point. One thing though - laughing at children isn't nice.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 16 February 2004 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

top grade cynic in their judgement, but i know i'm just an optimist with a touch of paranoia. No harm in that.

badgerminor (badgerminor), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a sweetie, apparently, which I presume means I wasn't trying hard enough.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not gonna waste my time just to be insulted.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I got the world weary one too!

jel -- lennium -- (jel), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:11 (twenty-two years ago)

ditto

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a full-on cynic. This is no surprise as the questions were primarily about politics. As far as the question about the kids being successful goes I just thought of Satan's encounter with the little girl in Highway 61. Maybe if my kids sell their souls...

Bryan (Bryan), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

This quiz is just another wash by a major news outlet trying to somehow make me feel guilty just because I occasionally take their "reporting" with a grain of salt, meanwhile they continue to shovel it with both hands as always. What I feel guilty for is the fact that I almost took their advice to "lighten up" under consideration, for nearly 3 seconds.

TOMBOT, Monday, 16 February 2004 21:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Not me. I think my mind made it to Li and I was saying FUCK YOU to my screen. You're getting soft there, Tom.

Bryan (Bryan), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a good excuse though

TOMBOT, Monday, 16 February 2004 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I hear ya.

Bryan (Bryan), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Fags.

Allyzay, Monday, 16 February 2004 21:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Top grade. I think David and Victoria are lovely, though.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark me down as another "world weary" person, which kinda surprises me and kinda doesn't.

Mellow Dee (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 16 February 2004 23:04 (twenty-two years ago)

i really fucking hate their idea of what constitutes a cynic.

qed.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 16 February 2004 23:17 (twenty-two years ago)

"dearth" is spelled wrong

jody (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Christ, I've seen that picture plenty and this is the first time I noticed the ice bucket full of beer. Now I can't look at anything else. I need to buy shaved ice and a cooler NOW. and beer to put in it.

I refuse to take that test.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

its a RUBBISH test.

cynicism is different from scepticism. it is healthy not to believe everything you're told. that isn't the same as sneering at things. the BBC should know that, after all they're VERY CLEVER. just ask alastair campbell.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:09 (twenty-two years ago)

BBC is being satirical: now that they are being fucked royally, they are making jokes about 'cynicism'. From now on it's right to be cynical about the BBC since it is having to fellate this odious and corrupt government in order to get its lisence renewed. Still, least it isn't Fox/CNN/the New York Times.

ENRQ (Enrique), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah like an online poll is going to reveal anything.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:22 (twenty-two years ago)

aha... i missed that entirely.
well, you can understand why they're doing it. i hope they won't allow what has happened in recent weeks to make them more timid. in the absence of a credible opposition, someone needs to pick this government up on what they're doing. and it isn't going to be sky news, is it??

hobart paving (hobart paving), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Apparently I'm a 'top-grade cynic' ('but my heart's not in it' -- ouch) but honestly I felt 'none of the above' for most of this quiz.

NRQ (Enrique), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I am second-rate. Not just in the quiz, boom-tish! But seriously folks, laughing at children is one of my few amusements.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm Top Grade, Mean It and Everything.

Funny how as it's a java prog, you can't cut and paste your result...

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:32 (twenty-two years ago)

World Weary. Surprise.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:36 (twenty-two years ago)

sweetie

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 10:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I got the same as Ned-a 2nd rate cynic. I certainly didn't laugh at any children though, what dickheads!
