I am SOOO sleepy, but need to stay at work for the next 7 hrs. How do I do this? (PS I hate coffee)

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 09:34 (twenty-two years ago)

If the taste of coffee is the only problem, take it intravenously.

robster (robster), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 09:41 (twenty-two years ago)

And the hold music for London MPAS is sending me asleep! Aaaaah!

Intrevenous coffee's a bad idea as well. The coffeee they have here isn't real coffe - its strange sachet stuff from a vending machine, and as such the needle would probably melt.

do you drink tea? There's plenty of caffeine in there. Or nip to the shop & get some red bull. Open the window & get some fresh air in too.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I do drink tea, but teh tea's nasty from the machine. I've tried opening the window - all the girls in here moan like buggery.

Red Bull's a good shout though. I may pop down the garage in my break and get hold o' some o' that sweet sweet taurine.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 14:47 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm thinking about going home and taking a nap, actually. there's hardly anyone at my office today, anyway.

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 14:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm tired myself.
I wonder if I could crawl under my desk. Will report back.

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 14:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Do it!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 17 February 2004 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

oh there's room. It's a little dusty though, but there's room to stretch out (it's one of these corner units. There's not much to camouflage me down there, but I can hide behind the chair and someone would actually have to be LOOKING down there to see me.
Aside from the stretching out, it's not all that comfortable.
But I'm leaving this page open on my screen:

But too much at once might make you loose all your energy.

Can you power-nap during a lunch break?

Rock Hardy, Friday, 18 April 2008 15:33 (seventeen years ago)

Ask a coworker to start attacking you at random times. This worked for Inspector Clouseau.
