My apartment is starting to look like that with more show posters.

Jon Williams (ex machina), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 03:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Kingfish Beatbox (Kingfish), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 03:27 (twenty-two years ago)

That's kinda sad, really...

ModJ (ModJ), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 03:39 (twenty-two years ago)

You know, I bet her mom knows where every single thing in the house is, too.. that's the extremely scary yet extremely cool part!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 05:14 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think she'd notice stevem!

There is a house that looks like this just round the corner from us!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I wonder why the person involved has bought so much copier paper. I spy menkoness.

Dave B (daveb), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

She gets them free from work, according to the following thread..

ARGH LIFE LAUNDRY TO FALCOM CA.

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

At the block of flats where I used to live, there was a packrat caretaker who claimed that he had not had a bath the whole time the Tories were in power (I moved there in '95). He kept everything including his food garbage and cig butts in his flat, but otherwise his work as caretaker was neat as a pin. But someone complained to the council about him, and he was sectioned and while 'away' the flat was cleaned of muck and junk. He was also bathed forcibly, and moved to a flat elsewhere. Apparently the WORST thing you can do is disturb a packrat menko's equilibrium in that way. He killed self in new flat, and was not discovered for another two months.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:17 (twenty-two years ago)

She works? Mon fucking dieu. And that sofa must get a bit sweaty. Ugh.

Dave B (daveb), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel really sad after seeing all that. :(((

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark, are you hormonal?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:27 (twenty-two years ago)

She reminds me of that woman from How Clean Is Your House - who was a professional cleaner but hadn't cleaned her own gaff for six or seven years. It turned out she was literally bathing in her own faeces, yeech.

The creepy thing was that she lived across the road from her identical twin who was perfectly clean, tidy, hygenic and houseproud.

*shivers*

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah good old obsessive compulsive disorder. My wife used to work in a home with a "hoarder", he even kept his bathroom trophies if you know what i mean. He would bag everything.

Chris V (Chris V), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Now that is gross!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

that refrigerator is friggin' beautiful. i like that house! that house would have been my future if my lovely sane wife hadn't made an honest man of me. i was kinda looking forward to being the creepy old man in the attic before i fell in love.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Who says you can't still be one?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

eh, it wouldn't be the same. it's no fun being a creepy packrat hermit with other people around.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

i barely ever talk to myself anymore.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

on the upside, if i fall down when i'm drunk and hit my head there is someone to find the body now.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

that place would look sweet on the Vineyard, Scott.

Chris V (Chris V), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

there are a lot of places like that here. crazy people with million dollar real estate.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

hee hee. it's like a low-budget version of House on the Rock, sans carousel.

Kingfish Beatbox (Kingfish), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Im renting a house there in september, hope it doesn't look like that! I'll be spending a lot of time at Menemsha Blues.

Chris V (Chris V), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris V (Chris V), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

aw, it's a SHACK(!!!) shacks are allowed to be messy, it's implicit in their name. he doesn't live in it does he?

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 17:49 (twenty-two years ago)

no, he doesn't live in it. it's his home away from home. yeah, it's true. a man's shack is his castle.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

(i want a shack when i grow up)

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Does he rent it out?

Chris V (Chris V), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

i really want a shack. i may be buying a house next year, hopefully, in the countryside. i will have my own shack and a dog, then i'll be happy.

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

no, he doesn't rent it. it's just for him and his gear. we might build a shack someday next to our house. i'm looking forward to playing loud heavy metal in it and posting a sign that sez: No Gurlz Aloweb!!! on the door.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 18 February 2004 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

we do have one of those small corrugated metal ones that is good for storing crap in. but it's not good for loud music. it's kinda beat up and low to the ground.
