Going there for the week-end, so wondering if any ILXor had any tips for bars/clubs.
I've already spotted this one..

Don't remember any bars, but the art gallery is terrific. Bernado Bellotto (Canaletto's nephew) did for Dresden what his uncle did for Venice.

After the second world war, the council rebuilt the city using Belotto's paintings as a basis.

They are quite something.

Go and see the mighty 1.FC Dynamo Dresden in their bid to rejoin the Bundesliga after their plummet through the leagues for financial misconduct (ie; being East German, in the eyes of the self-protecting former Westies) - they are currently third in Div 3.
