I'm stuck in here, bored until six thirty. Most of my colleagues have gone home or to the pub and I am feeing incredibly neglected. Anyone else in the same boat?

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Friday, 20 February 2004 16:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the West Coast, it's not yet 9 am, I'm already bored!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 20 February 2004 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, normally yes, I'd be working until at least 6. But it's Friday which means I leave in 5 minutes. Woo!

(Sorry.)

Archel (Archel), Friday, 20 February 2004 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

have spent the last hour or so watching movie trailers on Apple's site - AVP, Van Helsing and The Passion OF Christ all look like they might be alright. wtf with the Spongebob Squarepants movie tho?? also Jersey Girl looks like the worst film ever, bad Kevin Smith

stevem (blueski), Friday, 20 February 2004 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Jersey Girl, is that not an old one?

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:03 (twenty-two years ago)

im here for two more hours. 2pm can't come soon enough.

Chris V (Chris V), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Steve: check out Dawn of the Dead, Sky Captain and The Incredibles (unless you already have).

Jersey Girl is the second Bennifer movie (only not really).

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I am supposed to be here until 8pm tonight, but I may leave early because I have the beginnings of what will probably promise to be a wicked migraine.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Ugh, horrid. :-(

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

We use Messenger for our interoffice communications and I'm tempted to change my display name to Pretending To Work. I would love this job if all I had to do was consult.

Bryan (Bryan), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm here for another 8 hours, and I'm not best pleased about it.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i want to get the hell out of dodge so i can go eat some bbq and head to the bugs bunny film festival. thats right.

kephm, Friday, 20 February 2004 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I give you my permission to go home. A curry and a few drinks should help with the head.

Rumpy Pumpkin (rumpypumpkin), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

where is that? coolidge corner?

Chris V (Chris V), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

between managing 3 big work projects, scanning ilx + reading over the fantasy baseball stuff i just signed up for - i'm fairly unbored. i can only do the latter 2 while the creative director (who sits right behind me) is out.

dyson (dyson), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

When I was an office worker type I spent so much fucking time on ILx. This was back in the Greenspun days, when there were periodic outages--those were the worst days at work, except for maybe the time Kodanshi trapped some thread with dozens of scat porn popups. One of my more panicked moments.

adam (adam), Friday, 20 February 2004 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

chris v, brattle theatre

kephm, Friday, 20 February 2004 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

i've been distracted all morning. my co-worker has brought in his 8-yr old daughter and she's been sitting next to me all morning playing with dolls and a doll house. she keeps interrupting me to say, "hey matt, look it, i put the dresser on the staircase" or "hey matt, i made a bunk bed by putting the bed on some chairs"

kids are great and all, but not at work for crying out loud.

metfigga (metfigga), Friday, 20 February 2004 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

That sounds like someone on ilx.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 20 February 2004 19:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Really?

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 February 2004 19:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Who?

TOMBOT, Friday, 20 February 2004 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

i've got and hour and 45 minutes until my mardi gras holiday. each new minute takes longer than the last.

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Friday, 20 February 2004 20:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Felonious Drunk (Felcher), Friday, 20 February 2004 20:59 (twenty-two years ago)

smee (smee), Saturday, 21 February 2004 00:41 (twenty-two years ago)

we're just lazy using checking the top of the 'new answers'...

has anyone ever tried to open the link in the top left of ILE: "Show All 26062 Questions"? What's the point? Can a browser even scroll that far? sorry - too much red wine. back to the drunk thread.
