This was an accurate portrayal of how most 13 year old girls are. I suggest that ALL mothers take their daughters to see this movie. Yes, they will see that this movie is based very MUCH in fact. They will see that many teens have sex (with blacks) and that many do indeed self mutilate. I just hope that somebody can explain that bizarre ending to me...where the girl, Tracy the thirteen year old, was in a playground? That was a very odd scene. I liked Kip Pardue's scene, where he refused to have "jailbait" sex with the teenage girls. That would have landed him in Jail. Also, that girl who played BROOKE! She was amazing. I believe she was also the blond in THE RING. That was also a good movie. As far as the lead, Tracy is a "poor man's Kirsten Dunst". She will eventually reap rewards...but in the meantime, she will always be in Dunst's shadow.

Reviewer: Scott Oakes (see more about me) from Brooklyn, NY United States
Of the 3 films in the MVP trilogy, I think MXP might be the best. I watched this one with a few friends before going out on a Saturday night. The comic hijinks of Jack and the other monkeys, as wells as the complete aloofness of every adult in the movie who fails to see Jack climbing trees, eating food, and sneaking onto airplanes dressed in a sombrero and pancho is incredible. This film sells itself. 1 monkey + 1 snowboard = awesome. Is MXS (Most Extreme Surfer) next? I hope so.

I liked this film. It kind of dragged in parts but for the most part it delivered all the goods. One thing bothered me though. Why didn't Sandra Bullock just cut her hair to avoid being discovered by all the people who were looking for her? This movie is so 1995. It's so dated in terms of the computer graphics that were used. There are several scenes that were truly well done and suspenseful. Everybody asks, "could this really happen?" The answer is simple, yes.

2. Summary: Saw it in 1982 and again in 2002It has not failed to deliver the GOODS. This movie is awesome. I saw the directors commentary while I was at my friend Jake's. It was very interesting to hear Kurt Russell talk about it. There is so much that went into making this movie!! I had NO IDEA. It was totally about isolation, paranoia and the unknown. The ending is still a mystery, even to the director!

Summary: I want to like this but can't.I watched this when I was 15 in 1985 and didn't get it. So, I decided over a decade later to re-watch it to get a better appreciation for it. I have to say that it still makes no sense to me. It's really boring to be honest. It's the Orwell element that drives me nuts. Bobby DeNiro plays a strange air conditioning repairman who says stuff that doesn't make sense. This has to be one of the most bizarre movies I have ever seen. It's also a close second place to Mission Impossible in terms of hard to understand. I'd avoid it if I were you.

When I saw that Denzel was in this, I knew it was a MUST SEE. I have no regrets. He was so good in this. This movie was so on the mark with the way healthcare operates. However, it might have been stretching the reality of it. I have a hard time believing that a hospital director could be so callous. However, perhaps that is the way some people are. This movie had a good ending and a good plot. Denzels acting was great and the sacrafice he was willing to make for his son was amazing. Great flick.

Summary: My second favourite Tom Cruise movie
This movie was great. I loved the scenes with Tom Cruise. The rest of the movie didn't really stand out. I have never seen Tom in such a crazy role. He played this guy who gives seminars on how to score with women. Then he learns his dad is dying. So, he goes to see his dying dad. What follows is PURE EMOTION. It made me greatful that I have a good dad. Apparently Jason Robarts was a real jerk to Tom Cruise during his early life (in the movie that is). The other wonderful performance is by Phillip Seymore Thomas. That guy can play so many different kinds of characters!! He was in Boogie Nights as the camera man and he was also in Talented Mr. Ripley as the evil rich snob. Anyway, I would consider buying this movie. It was all good. Three thumbs up! (!!!!!!)

6.
Summary: Say Goodnight!!
This movie was about how RACISTS are MEAN!!! The character played by Edward Norton was very mean to blacks. He even poured milk on one just to MAKE HIM LOOK WHITE!!! There was a LOT of hate in this movie and the hate was just the beginning. IT made blacks hate whites and white's hate blacks!!! The scene on the basketball court was very interesting. I thought that there was going to be a bullet shot at least once before the game was finished. Good and intense movie.

Summary: Good movie til the end
I liked this movie. It has so many good qualities. The way Kevin Costner played an evil man was interesting. I liked the connection he had with NOBODY. Yes, you heard that right, he didn't like anybody but himself. Kurt Russell was great. I liked the way he connected to that kid. The most STUPID part was when ICE T appeared at the end....swinging UPSIDE down...from some kind of pully device...spinning in circles and shooting his machine guns. Stupid move on HIS part. Other than that, this movie was fun. With KURT and KEVIN, it's hard to go wrong.

Summary: Russell Crowe IS the movie
This was a good movie in the sense of a good ocean movie. Yes, the movie was a tad slow and there was little if NO action. However, just watching the determination of Russell Crowe to capture that French vessel was so amazing. I liked the doctor as well and the little boy who had one arm was also good. I thought it was funny when that watchman jumped overboard with a cannonball. Doesn't he know that he could be crushed to death in the depths of the sea? Talk about a painful way to go!

Summary: Clint the Eastwood delivers despite the democrats
I loved this movie, however, Tim Robbins and Sean Penn are so democrat that it's insane. It was so painfully obvious that their characters were trying to tout their political views on how the Republican's like Rush Limbaugh are bad people and that Clinton is the hero. don't forget, Sean Penn went to Iraq and inspected bunkers for weapons of mass destruction...and did not find any. How dare he try to become a weapons inspector!!!! Anyway, the movie was good. The story was a tad slow but the acting was very good. The facial expressions of Sean and Tim were classic and possibly oscar material. yes, you heard me right...OSCAR MATERIAL. Clint Eastwood did a good job,,,I just hope he's not going to get too leftist on me. I get sick of the DEMOCRATS acting like REPUBLICANS in the movies...it makes me mad. I liked the story and the twists were ok. If only they would have showed more scenes of when Tim Robbins was in the cellar getting his torture. They didn't deliver on that count to my satisfaction.

Summary: Owen & Luke are the future of movies.
I should know, I have seen EVERY movie Owen's been in. I even went to highschool with him at New Mexico Military Institute. I can see where he has a different outlook after experiencing military school. He delivers so many good lines in this movie about a family such as nobody has ever seen. Luke is also good. Luke wears a headband in almost every scene. It is so dark and funny that it gives dark humor movies such as The Cable Guy (also with Owen) a run for it's money. Gene Hackman (a Santa Fe resident) does a great performance. He is so easy to love and hate at the SAME TIME. If you want to see a strange movie that ventures into territory that NO OTHER MOVIE EVER HAS, then SEE THIS! The photography is great also. There is some serious sexiness through out this movie when it comes to all the characters interacting with Miss Paltrow. I give this a HUGE HIGH FIVE!!
