I first encountered the chemtrail thing when I was hanging around on one board pre and post-Y2K. When chaos did not ensue, everyone starting talking about chemtrails instead, which I presume kept them busy until 9/11.

My favorite conspiracy is the miraculous liquid deprenyl cover-up; it's been around forever and no one really seems to know anything except for a few skeezy California doctors. Supposedly it's an incredible wonder-drug, and supposedly it'll improve your 'vigor' and 'potency' as well as acting as an anti-depressant. It's only available through GNC and a few online dealers - but the Paranoid claim its creator was framed and ferreted into prison by a jealous US government. Good story -
