what can go wrong?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 22 February 2004 07:09 (twenty-two years ago)

She can get her hair cut into a flouncy fringe which you're not keen on, and then when she comes bounding out of the hairdresser's and asks what you think you can't lie with your eyes.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Sunday, 22 February 2004 09:24 (twenty-two years ago)

you have long hair. it gets in the way when performing oral sex. unless he pulls it.

nathalie (nathalie), Sunday, 22 February 2004 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I confronted her about it
I said, "I'm the most illegible bachelor in townAnd she said "Yeah that's why I
could never understand any of those silly letters you sent me
And then one day it happened
She cut her hair and I stopped loving her

The best Haircut lyrics, evah.

Speedy Gonzalas (Speedy Gonzalas), Sunday, 22 February 2004 10:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Sounds like a bit of a retread of 'where did your long hair go / where is the girl I used to know?'. Honestly, boys and their long hair fetishes.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 22 February 2004 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

life is a windin road, not a one way street, ponzie.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

My hair is single as far as I'm aware.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

That is a false dichotomy, Richie. I have known many a windin one-way street.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

do you know any winding one way roads?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:47 (twenty-two years ago)

'Cause there'll be
No more mountain climbing in the rain
No more long hair clogging up the drain
No more, life will will never be the same
Life after Lisa is not so bad at all.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:49 (twenty-two years ago)

do you know any winding one way roads?

life

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:51 (twenty-two years ago)

My ends split up last week.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 22 February 2004 13:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Sigh, this thread is the story of my life, but in reverse.

Don't ever change.

Says the girl who has completely changed her hair, cut, colour and everything, to suit the man that won't grow the floppy fringe of her dreams. Grrrrrrrrrr.

The River Kate (kate), Sunday, 22 February 2004 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

we've come to the split ends of the long and winding one way road.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 22 February 2004 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Why have you limited yourselves to the discussion to head hair?

Lara (Lara), Sunday, 22 February 2004 20:16 (twenty-two years ago)

one year passes...
: o

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 11:49 (twenty years ago)

YEAH RJG WHY?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 25 August 2005 11:51 (twenty years ago)

everyone has their limits

KNOW YOURS

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 11:56 (twenty years ago)

I transcend!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 25 August 2005 11:57 (twenty years ago)

I need a haircut

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 11:58 (twenty years ago)

I need a relationship.

I Dream Of Sleep (kate), Thursday, 25 August 2005 12:00 (twenty years ago)

I cut all my hair off a couple of weeks into my relationship (it's back now). He still married me.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 25 August 2005 12:01 (twenty years ago)

Drunk with new girlfriend a while back and gave her a haircut in my bathroom. "Do my bangs," she said. So I did her bangs...well.
"Hack my hair," she said after surveying my work above her forehead. "Take this much off," she said, showing me the inches she wanted removed from the long part in the back. There were other instructions, but they remain hazy to me now. Something about roundness on the sides. We'd drank Old Fashioneds and beer. She returned the next day so I could fix the unevenness. Dinner first...I didn't want her sketched-out, hungry and twitchy under my now-sober hand.
Her hairdresser aunt tightened things up on the third day. The girl still likes me, well she says she does. She was afraid she looked like a boy, until legions of people complemented her on my work.

p.j. (Henry), Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:07 (twenty years ago)

I was dating a guy with short hair, and then I left the country for a year (during which we broke up). He didn't cut his hair the entire time I was gone, and it got really long, past shoulder length. After I came back he suddenly cut all of it off with an electric razor.

It was a good move. Long hair on men goes wrong way more often than it goes right.

Laura H. (laurah), Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:24 (twenty years ago)

I need a fancy haircut

pappawheelie II, Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:46 (twenty years ago)

It's not working out, hair.

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:48 (twenty years ago)

I don't want a relationship though

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:50 (twenty years ago)

long hair makes me look even skinnier than I already am.

p.j. (Henry), Thursday, 25 August 2005 15:56 (twenty years ago)

mine is getting really really long. i'd like to keep it, but this summer heat makes me reconsider. but i like it long! it makes me feel really good.

ai lien (kold_krush), Thursday, 25 August 2005 16:15 (twenty years ago)

i can rock a really good ponytail, too!

ai lien (kold_krush), Thursday, 25 August 2005 16:15 (twenty years ago)

Summer's almost over, anyway - just sweat it out another few weeks and you'll be fine.

My hair is currently about 2mm long. I may go crazy and let it get to 3mm, but no further. That would be madness.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 25 August 2005 16:19 (twenty years ago)

but we're talking about arkansas heat! but yes, i will literally sweat it out another 2 months.

ai lien (kold_krush), Thursday, 25 August 2005 16:21 (twenty years ago)

cozen, how would you get a fancy haircut?

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 25 August 2005 16:48 (twenty years ago)

I am growing it out

then I am going to ask a hairdresser

and I am getting a student discount

nothing too fancy

no LEDs

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 25 August 2005 17:55 (twenty years ago)

I worry that I might be receeding :(

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 25 August 2005 17:56 (twenty years ago)

my girlfriend keeps wanting to cut my hair, even though to my knowledge she can't actually cut hair well. So I think I'll pass.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 25 August 2005 17:58 (twenty years ago)

Breaking up is a bit harsh don't you think, Ronan?

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 25 August 2005 18:00 (twenty years ago)

heh maybe I'll reconsider!

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 25 August 2005 18:00 (twenty years ago)

I had a posh haircut the other day. It was like a joke.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Thursday, 25 August 2005 18:40 (twenty years ago)

cozen, I can't imagine you with fancy hair. In fact, I can't imagine your hair doing anything other than what it does now. It's just incomprehensible.

Cathy (Cathy), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:04 (twenty years ago)

If a girl offers to cut your hair for you it means that she thinks you're a 'fixer-upper' (i.e. you could be ghottt if only she could get her styletastic fingers on you).

not sure about pickles (Jacqui Pickles), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:09 (twenty years ago)

LEDs, cathy, LEDs

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:09 (twenty years ago)

I know what I want but I'm not sure if I can get it

I need to go for a trim to "tidy up my ends"

I am also going for braces and spectacles

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:11 (twenty years ago)

I want new spectacles.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:12 (twenty years ago)

I need my eyes tested and new spectacles, probably, but I don't want new spectacles

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:15 (twenty years ago)

you would probably miss your old spectacles

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:24 (twenty years ago)

oh, ugh, i'm getting my eyes tested next week. but no new spectacles because they give me headaches. yes, contacts.

ai lien (kold_krush), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:31 (twenty years ago)

Does anyone on this thread wear their hair with a side-part? Could you comment on it?

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:32 (twenty years ago)

Regular sentences will do, but if you need to blue sky and throw in some iambic pentameter, that's perfectly acceptable.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:33 (twenty years ago)

that's the reason, yes

crosspost

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:34 (twenty years ago)

my hair doesn't truly part, usually, (this is because I don't have a comb) but it goes sideyways

it's okay

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:36 (twenty years ago)

The reason I ask is that my posh haircut resulted in a (what I consider to be) unnatural side parting, and I am having trouble coming to terms with it.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:37 (twenty years ago)

I am aiming for a side parted loss of eyes

cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 25 August 2005 19:46 (twenty years ago)
