If I can make a career filming my neighbor playing air guitar on his second story balcony while cutting to my female friends doing 80s dances in a 5-frame-per-second strobe effect, I would be king.

Sounds better than the music videos of today.

Go forth and film!

Where does the 'lucrative' part come in?

Making the people laugh, making the film popular?

Approaching karaoke machine distribution companies with your worthwhile video interpretations of Human League's "Don't You Want Me", Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name", Dolly Parton's "9 to 5", and Color Me Badd's "I Wanna Sex You Up"?

It's all about the lazy 80s dances of the girls in that slow strobe effect. It's mesmerizing, and bar patrons eat it up.

Don't forget Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy". Actually, if you could just strip the vocals out of the original video you could easily license it to karaoke companies.

one year passes...
There were only two videos at the karaoke last night, one seemed to be a standard "pretty ladies on a boat, with the waves and the sun (and the lotion)", which was attached rather randomly to Losing My Religion (!) and one for Love Shack, which seemed determined to recreate the ambience of the original video, with a cast of four and a budget of a fiver.

Also Love Shack is three years long, WTF.

You gotta persist to the 40 second mark.
