its looking pretty dismal, yeah. though its worth taking popularity polls with a grain of salt and a lot can happen between now and 2005. the thing that disturbs me most is that national have a pakeha as their spokesperson for maori affairs. THATS JUST SOOOOO FUCKING OFF!!! i saw him debate with john tamihere on kim hill, i couldn't believe some of the cliches he pulled out. "i'm not racist, i know some maoris, in fact, i have nephews and nieces who are maori". the defense of racists since the beginning of time.
i hate don brash. but as my flatmate pointed out - a decrease in popularity for labour might force them into coalition with the greens at the next election. i'm crossing my fingers.
