Sleeping backwards?

Do you ever sleep with your head at the wrong end of the bed? You know, just for kicks?

I am guilty of this more often than not.

Only with gygax.

It's a whole new experience!

Back in the good old days of the psychiatric ward, I was in a room with a woman. I never saw her face, she didn't move the whole time I was there. She slept with her head where her feet should be under the sheets and blankets and her feet were on the pillow. She never moved and it freaked me out no end.

I've only done it 3 times, but every time I've done it it was, without exageration, thrilling and grossly rewarding.

I save it for VERY special times in my life. Everything is different and FRESH and much cooler

man, sleeping backwards is messed up. the only times i remember doing it i woke up and was confused for like 30 seconds.

todd swiss (eliti), Monday, 23 February 2004 06:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I did it for about a week once, for some specific reason which I can't remember now.

oops (Oops), Monday, 23 February 2004 07:25 (twenty-two years ago)

were you boycotting the top of your bed perchance?

todd swiss (eliti), Monday, 23 February 2004 07:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to alternate depending on what I had to do the next day, because there was a window at one end of the bed. If I needed to get up early, I'd sleep with my head on that end. If I wanted to sleep in, I'd switch.

I remember "sleeping backwards" quite a few times while recovering from various back surgeries. It was a great way of changing up the side I was resting on without changing my view of things (which was totally important to me for personal comfort-related reasons).

But no, I've never "slept backwards" just for kicks.

Stuart, that's brilliant! I have the same layout and will do this in future.

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Monday, 23 February 2004 08:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to do it when I was younger and couldn't get to sleep, as it did feel a lot nicer and fresher at that end of the bed. Haven't done it for a long time, I think it would freak my wife out if I did it now.

I sleep sideways sometimes too.

"Just sleep sideways round this bed today..."

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 23 February 2004 23:05 (twenty-two years ago)

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Monday, 23 February 2004 23:10 (twenty-two years ago)
