Mickey Rourke shows up with Anna Kournikova at Las Vegas club anniversary
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Tennis star Anna Kournikova turned heads when she walked the red carpet with actor Mickey Rourke to celebrate Light nightclub’s second anniversary at the Bellagio resort.
Publicists swore the two were just friends, and Kournikova was in town to see her boyfriend Enrique Iglesias, who’s playing at the Hard Rock hotel-casino this week.
The two weren’t the only stars to make the swelling crowds inside the casino let out screams of adoration Saturday night.
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher showed up hand in hand, along with Angie Harmon and her husband NFL star Jason Sehorn. The St. Louis Rams safety wasn’t able to show any of his gridiron moves thanks to a pair of crutches he was lugging around.
Some stars bypassed the red carpet and came incognito. Actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg both donned baseball caps and avoided the throngs of admirers.
Hilton heiress Paris Hilton was also on the scene, showing off her blond hair extensions. Apparently the socialite yearns to be a mother. She told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that she wants to have “kids in two to four years.”

Paris Hilton, with her short, ultra-teased out bob hairdo, looks disturbingly like Morgan Fairchild. That's all I have to add.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:50 (twenty-two years ago)

disturbingly? or ALLURINGLY?

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:50 (twenty-two years ago)

(as in P.H. and M.F. are both, "hey shouldn't they be hot, yet they're soooooo not?")

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Disturbingly.

I've attempted to figure out why Morgan Fairchild is famous, but it's not happening.

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

She's married to Jon Lovitz.

"You can never be too rich or too thin." This elegant lady defined the TV version of the rich, sophisticated businesswoman who knows what she wants, and will do whatever it takes to get it. She was born Patsy Ann McClenny on February 3, 1950, in Dallas, Texas. A native of Dallas, Morgan began acting as a child, when her mother enrolled her in drama lessons after she was too shy to give a book report in class. From the age of 10, she performed in children's plays. Later she would do dinner theatre and stock productions in Dallas. She chose Morgan as a stage name. In 1973, Morgan decided to pursue a career in television; just 6 weeks after moving to New York she landed the key role of Jennifer in the daytime series "Search for Tomorrow" (1951); she stayed on until 1977.
Morgan moved to Los Angeles, where in 1978 she originated the role of Jenna Wade on the wildly popular nighttime soap "Dallas" (1978)(Jenna was later portrayed by Priscilla Presley). Morgan made numerous guest appearances on TV series. She landed the key role of Constance Semple in "Flamingo Road" (1981) in 1981, and she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress; that was her breakout show that propelled her to stardom.
Morgan continued to perform in live theatre, her acclaimed portrayal of Skye in the off-Broadway comedy "Geniuses" helped make it one of the "Top Ten Plays" of the year according to Time Magazine and the New York Times. Other stage appearances have included productions of "Goodbye Charlie" and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." On TV she played the naughty Racine in the series "Paper Dolls" (1984) in 1984. Later, Morgan starred in the TV series "Falcon Crest" (1981)from 1985-86, having made a niche for herself playing ambitious beauties. Morgan received an Emmy nomination for a special episode of "Murphy Brown" (1988). Morgan has shared some of her beauty secrets by authoring the book "Super Looks" which is a complete guide that includes makeup, exercise and diet tips. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. She is an active speaker on environmental issues of all kinds, and helped found the Environmental Communications Office, which encourages entertainment industry professionals to become better educated and more active on environmental issues. Onscreen, Morgan has movie projects lined up for 2000 and beyond. Offscreen, Morgan is a collector of movie memorabilia (particularly anything about Marilyn Monroe) and antique clothing. She is a ballet fan and is also interested in anthropology and paleontology; Morgan is truly a brainy beauty.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:03 (twenty-two years ago)

trying to finish her script for "Hee Haw: The Movie"

or rotting. one of the two.

Kingfish Beatbox (Kingfish), Monday, 23 February 2004 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

The cold, hard facts about Hee Haw:

-Swedish vixen Gunilla Hutton was a longtime mistress
of Nat King Cole

-Lulu Roman was a former go-go dancer and was fired
from Hee Haw after a cocaine bust. She is reportedly a
lousy tipper.

-Linda Thompson was Elvis Presley's longtime
girlfriend and wound up marrying then divorcing
Olympics star (and plastic surgery mishap) Bruce
Jenner. She also appeared in the drive-in classic
Three On A Meathook.

-Grandpa Jones started passing himself off as a
"Grandpa" in his mid-twenties. They say he always
performed as if his life depended on it.

-John Henry Faulk is the author of the book Fear on
Trial which dealt with HUAC and the blacklistings of
the '50s, of which he was a victim. He also appeared
in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and was the subject of
the song "The Ballad of John Henry Faulk" by Phil Ochs.

-Stringbean was brutally murdered along with his wife
during a burglary in their home.

-Marianne Gordon was the wife of Kenny Rogers

-Lisa Todd was one of Ted V. Mikels' Doll Squad.

-Roy Clark has had a hair transplant.

-The Hager twins have their autographed 8x10 displayed
prominently next to the "Wall of Fishing Accidents"
inside the giant muskie-shaped building at the Fishing
Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wisconsin.

-Barbi Benton, Anne Randell and Misty Rowe have all
appeared nude in Playboy. Benton was the longtime
companion of Hugh Hefner.

-Kenny Price's nickname was "The Round Mound of Sound"

-Nothing bad has ever been said about Minnie Pearl.
