Just, if you were doing pics, I can't see 'em.

C.W. Post, man. But Quake was great too.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 23 February 2004 16:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Ya can't see the pics? That's odd, as I can. In any event, they're pics of King Vitamin, Quake (as in Quisp & Quake) and Freakies.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 23 February 2004 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Fortified Oat Flakes by...Post? I think.

i miss buckwheats. i am probably the only one.

OMG, my two favorite defunct cereals! I think Buc-wheats changed their formula before they went away, getting rid of the actual buck wheat taste, but I grew to love the old formula. And I once found a "dented can" type grocery store that carried Fortified Oat Flakes sometime in the 80s, but they didn't have them for long. I now love maple flavor in cereal, and I doubt if that will go away.

This cereal was great, it even came with a bowl. More info on it is available here.
I also seem to remember another type of Ninja Turtles cereal which lacked marshmellows and was green but I can't find anything about it. Does anyone else remember it?

Stan Fields (Stan Fields), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:42 (twenty years ago)

On the TMNT cereal box, I love how the CHEX cereal pieces are marketed as "NINJA NETS."

Also, the side panel about "Fruited Mutant Pizza" is intriguing in the extreme, although it merely looks like a cream cheese torte or something.

elmo (allocryptic), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:07 (twenty years ago)

the peaches and walnuts one on the right.

Did anyone notice that the bowl on this kid's head says "So-Hi"?

http://members.aye.net/~gharris/blog/ricekrinkles.jpg

I know some come from the reality (wetmink), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:27 (twenty years ago)

"So-Hi" was the kid's name. Some of these boxes used to come with little plastic dealies that was the kid (jointed) mounted on some kind of bar such that when you spun the bar between two fingers the kid would flip around like a gymnast.
