"When two male and two female supremely sensual, unspeakably cerebral humans find themselves under attack from aliens who want their awesome quantum breakthrough, they take to the skies -- and zoom into the cosmos on a rocket roller coaster ride of adventure and danger, ecstasy and peril."

Well that does it for me...what d'you want to read on the back of a book that'll make you buy it?

"Full penetrative sex within the first six pages, and at least once every ten pages thereafter."

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Monday, 23 February 2004 18:52 (twenty-two years ago)

dude, when I can be bothered, I will go get our copy of 'born a ninja' and transcribe its blurb.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 February 2004 18:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Blurbs don't usually make me want to read a book. In fact, they're more likely to put me off reading it, if they're excessively cloying.

Tanaka, a scientist with a past, is unable to face the sight of the atrocities he committed as a germ warfare researcher during WWII. Martin, miraculously returns from the dead, recruits an ace but evil Ninja, Simon, to retrieve Tanaka and the formula. Lung, a master of a lost art joins the battle and goes head-on with Simon. The Japanese samurai and the Chinese martial arts finally encounter. A battle between Ninjitsu finally starts. At the same time, Tanaka takes the plunge. In a burnt laboratory, he uses the golden horn to locate the germ formula. Despite the heroics, Tanaka's gang is pursued once again by Martin, Daniel and Simon. Tanaka finally gets the formula but it is shot from his hand again. The ghostly image floods Tanaka's mind and he is left laughing in an insane heap."

!!!!!!!

that is not as good as my blurb.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

OK:

"

Japanese Samurai and Chinese Martial Arts finally clash.

Tanaka is a Japanese war criminal, a scientist with an evil germ warfare formula.

Tanaka is pursued by evil ace Ninjas, who steal his deadly formula.

In his attempt to retrieve the potion a battle beteween evil Ninja
artistry and supernatural forces takes place.

All action Ninja adventure, coupled with the reality & hideousness of potential germ warfare, makes Born a Ninja original and
memorable Ninja entertainment.

"

I still think the "Seducer. Spy. Satanist. Stamp Collector." blurb I invented for Gordon Nightingale says it all.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 February 2004 20:34 (twenty-two years ago)
