I just posted something to the Brown Wedge, but while it's up and ready on my 'Edit your blog' thing, it's not up on the site. Are these delays common? I've never had it happen before...

I've never lost a post to my knowledge following Blogger's interface revamp some time back -- before then was a different story.

eight months pass...

WASHINGTON -- Police are looking for two gunmen who robbed and shot a political blogger near the heart of Adams Morgan about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Brian Beutler -- a blogger at Talking Points Memo and the Washington correspondent for Media Consortium -- had just left the Black Cat on 14th Street with a friend when it happened, News4's Miguel Almaguer reported.

At 17th Street and Euclid Avenue, two teens with a gun approached Beutler and his friend and demanded their cell phones. The 25-year-old blogger was then shot twice in the shoulder and once in the abdomen.

Beutler's friend called 911. He was rushed to Washington Hospital Center where he underwent surgery. Police said he is expected to recover.

Word of the shooting quickly spread through the neighborhood. The area, with its proximity to D.C. nightlife, has been prone to violence, but neighbors said it appeared it was taking a turn for the better.
