Does Paul Orndorff of Pontiac Ill. 61764 still have anything to do
with wrestling?

OK, you've got his postcode, that's just creepy.

No, he doesn't. Due to damage sustained to his shoulder during his WWF headlining stint, he now has one arm significantly shorter than the other. He might work as a trainer, though, he trained a lot of the Power Plant guys in the late 90s, so he was behind people like Jindrak and O'Hair and.... Reno.

Orndorff headlined the biggest ever paid crowd in US wrestling history, you know? His series with Hogan probably wasn't matched until McMahon/Austin for capturing the public imagination.

was that wrestlemania one with Mr. T and andre the giant's 'slam match'. It is my best video, especially for liberace as guest time keeper, -
unbeleivable gorilla

It was Andre the Giant versus Big John Studd in the Body Slam Challenge, not Mr T.

But, no, it was pre the full scale assault of PPV onto the wrestling fanbase. Possibly after the forgotten Wrestling Classic, the first grap PPV ever. Back when they used to wrestle "in the round", doing the same show each night in different towns.

Dom, I am so hot for you right now.

Hah, this is the same level of geekdom shown on ILM for music, just aimed at a more worthy target.

I know it was big john studd. I did a house clearance a few years ago and I found the video, it was about 2000. I have watched it millions of times. The best bit is where lord alfred hayes introduces the slam match and he is utter pish at explaining what is meant to be happening. Who was that lord guy and why was he there?

Lord Alfred Hayes was possibly the worst WWE announcer ever. With the obvious exception of Todd Pettingill. I think he had some other job backstage, so they just gave him a mic in order to save costs.

He's still alive, except he's decrepit as fuck. I saw a picture of him from last year and he looks like he's just been digged up.
