When it comes to getting to the root of popular culture, I can't go past the British psychoanalytic school:

Also NB not all texts regarding cultural products are exclusively either tributes or digs. Binary the world is not.

yes it is

Jonathan Z. (Joanthan Z.), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't.

Is.

times infinity plus one.

i think Jonathan Z has slightly won , because you just cant beat infinity plus one!
unless you get tedious and do infinty plus 2!

gaol clichy (clichy), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

How can you add one to sometihing that is by definition not a number. Pshaw.Jonathon Z loses.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I think 'infinity to the power of infinity' would put it beyond doubt, if either of you would like to try that one. You might need to add 'and no returns', just to be on the safe side.

noogies

omg, Tuesday, 2 March 2004 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

infinity x infinity to the infinityth power! +1! with a cherry on top! black jack no trade back!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 15:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Everything's either binary or v slightly modified binary anyway (ie. degrees of liking etc something come down to two poles anyway don't they? Do/don't? Like/not? Coming down in the middle isn't much diff from nailing yrself to one or the other is it?)

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course there is the argument that infinity plus any number is still infinity - so maybe it's a draw.

So... who's read the article? No-one? Ah, well.
