I can sometimes tell when the phone's about to ring or the door bell's about to buzz, but I think that I'm not sure if that's superpowers of hearing or mentalism.

Can you see the future?

I just knew Fritz was going to ask that.

Although I don't believe in psychics per se, I think it's fair to say that some people's senses are more finely tuned than others, and a so- called mind-reader is merely someone whose empathic skills are at the top end of the natural range, and are therefore able to pick up more precisely the nuances of emotions of those around them.

Personally, I only get that with people that I know really well. If someone close to me is unhappy I feel it like a physical pain, even if they haven't said a word, but strangers remain closed books.

Well, I often know who's going to ring.

I only have one infallible weird premonition, and that's concerning one friend who hates flying. Always know when they've gone on a plane, even if we haven't spoken.

My parents claimed I was psychic. Apparently I could predict who would come that day. (No, not that way.) Not in vague terms but in detail. I doubt I was ever psychic.

I've had really freaky, scary dreams about bad things happening to interstate relatives (one where my cousin got the shit beat out of her by her crazy-croat boyfriend and another where my aunt got stranded on a muddy, country road in the middle of the night in a storm and then got rescued by threatening, bulky men who scared the fuck out of her).

It turned out that in both cases the thing I was dreaming about was happening at the same time. Pretty fucking scary.

two years pass...

In my dreams, i see the future, i dont know how but when it happens in my head i feel that i have seen this before and i know what is going on and what is going to happen next ... these dreams is the weird part i dont remember them only untill they happen and then i can remember them as clear as day ... if you ask me its really F@!$in weird

I frequently have a great sense of deja vu, where I'm positive that a current situation happened to me in the past, to the point where I can isolate particular details of what makes the experience seem like deja vu, but the inability to remember when the original experience occurred.

DV is right. If your truly psyhic then you just know. You shouldnt need someone else to tell you that you are. However anyone who is open minded can develop psychic skills. I am meeting a psychic for a reading next week..if i have true skills im sure she'll re-assure me!
