GAME ON!

Does anyone know where I can download/play any of those games like Monkey Island? Was it even called that? There was one for the Playstation, can't remember it's name but it had something to do with the Knights Templar and picking up keys then clicking on the window, then using the rolled up newspaper to build a bi-plane type thingy. Something like the Choose your Own Adventure books.

I hope somebody knows what I'm talking about, actually, I came across a game something like what I'm looking for, think it was called Motmas or something? My head is full of black holes, any input (at all) would be appreciated. Especially if it is relevant. Thank You.

I wanted this thread to be about the BBC comedy series Game On with Samantha Janus. I used to have Monkey Island, that was great. You need Prince of Persia, that was best.

there were also all these games i used to get on a floppy disk for the PC, they're these cheap ass games in which you get to see a screen with a picture (or very simple animation) of some situation in a grand adventure, and you have to make the right decision/find the right bit of thing on the screen to click on to take you to the next step - it's actually really good. I remember one where i had to fight these aliens and somehow got locked up in a cage over piranhas, and i had to use some bit of metal i collected earlier in a hotel toilet to unpick the lock before i was eaten.

it's like those adventure books but as a cheap-ass graphic DOS game.

I remember Game on, it was guff wasn't it? I'm tearing my hair out trying to remember the name of that other game. I can see wee bits of it - some guy in Paris in the sewers and in bars and hotels. I didn't even get to complete it, my arse faced ex-boyfriend didn't have the patience to let me get on with it. I hate that guy. Maybe hate is too strong a word. I'm bitter, sigh, but so glad I got shot of him. Anyway, back to subject.

What are you talking about, Game On was classic. Better with the old Matt.

The good looking one? Mmmm. Don't like Samantha Janus. She looks like my mate Ewans cat-fish.

Yeah the good looking one. Samantha Janus was alright. Remember her Eurovision entry?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Vaguely. It was bad, right?

paris in sewers and hotels and a library, in the same style as monkey island?

sounds like one of the lucasarts indiana jones games. 'master of atlantis' maybe.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 17:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I still chuckel when I think that Sam Janus' middle name is Hugh

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 2 March 2004 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

No, as soon as I hear the name of it I'll know. It's games in that style I'm looking for on the net, cause I know they'll keep me busy for hours in my work. Not that my work doesn't, but that can be put to one side in the pursuit of better things.

The game you're thinking of is Broken Sword.

As for downloads, maybe try http://the-underdogs.org
