Lip Gloss: Classic or Dud?

I'd say classic. Lip gloss would be a turn-on for people like me.

You mean 12 year old boys?

maypang (maypang), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:00 (twenty-one years ago)

i wouldn't wear it

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

classique. but you saying it's a personal turn-on makes me think twice.

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Classic. I just bought some wet-look-diamond-shine from Maybelline and am looking forward to 'showering my lips with diamonds'

isadora (isadora), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:05 (twenty-one years ago)

that shit is just weird to me.

I favor WetSlicks by CoverGirl

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

MAC Lipglass rules my world.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Weird but cheap! (hmm, just the look I am aiming for?) maybe it is worth buying expensive makeup.

The thing is, I have quite big lips anyway. So I was trying for sparkly but pale (not too prominent) and big dark eyes. Or something.

isadora (isadora), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 04:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Try WetSlicks. Less than $5.

It's the holographic bits in the diamond shine that weirds me out.

*faints*

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 06:09 (twenty-one years ago)

petroleum-based: dud except when you're going for a specific look
beeswax-based: classic except it's not really all that glossy.

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

totally classic. I use the maybelline water shine & I think it works quite well. I bought some expensive lip gloss once, but it was so gooey, it felt like I'd lathered on glue!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Lip gloss on a windy day = dud because your hair sticks in it. Yuck.

quincie, Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

classic when it leaves a ring

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

i mean err lord of the rings is a damn good movie

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, exactly. Wind, long hair and gloss is a problem. My housemate is a Lancome Juicy Tubes addict, but I prefer lipstick. I do have occasional forays into the world of gloss. I like MAC and the Miners ones that come in pens.

Anna (Anna), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Kissing my honey when she's wearing lip gloss can be a bit sticky, plus she doesn't like me kissing her when she's just put it on as she'll just have to re-apply. So a cautious and conditional dud.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

"juicy tubes"

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm with luna on the lip glass. It looks good on everyone, too.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Juicy Tubes every time.
