What pens do you have?

Am I the only person who seems to pick up a lot of odd pens?

I have:

A "Literotica" pen - no idea where this came from
A pen from the Grant Plaza hotel in San Francisco
A pen from the Coulfax Spa in South Bend, Indiana
A generic Albertson's-brand pend
A springy pen from when I was on "Brainteaser"
A pen from Digital Video Services in San Francisco
A pen from some swanky hotel in Rome

(ALL of these are were found in various pockets of my bag, btw)

too many to mention.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a pen from the Tractor Tavern and one from the Lusty Lady. Go freakin' figure.

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 23:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I never ever have pens, they always disappear or get stolen. I think I have two left, a plain blue roller ink one and a purple fountain pen type thing.

I think I must have accidentally taken this Literotica pen from one of my co-workers, whose girlfriend works at the Lusty Lady!

OP Brand. The only way to go.

adam did you ever have one those four coloured biros in combined tube type affairs? don't tell me the Edgware crew were never down with fancy novelty pens now

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 4 March 2004 01:59 (twenty-one years ago)

A pen from Raoul Felder, lawyer, which says "Sue Someone You Love."

ModJ (ModJ), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:11 (twenty-one years ago)

everything i know about people i've learned from pens, if they won't work - shake em! if they still wont work - throw them away!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

if they leak in your pocket...

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread only exists to be misread

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:23 (twenty-one years ago)

pens are my eternal weakness, as are notebooks.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I am also considering splurging on some Pentel markers, one of those 72-packs. Just for the hell of it.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

fun fact: I never bought a pen or pencil in junior high or high school. I just picked up the ones I saw off the floor or that had been left on desks and put them in a box. by the time senior year rolled around I must've had 200 of the fuckers.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:27 (twenty-one years ago)

and thus Matos' shady past as a lightpole/bus seat/switchbox tagger comes to light

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I am also VERY careful not to take pens from businesses or counters--if I use it, I leave it there. I have nothing but contempt for pen-stealers. pen-finders, on the other hand, are my bred'ren.

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:30 (twenty-one years ago)

there is a fine line.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Matos has an unholy pen army that will avenge him if he is wronged.

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

btw was my school the only one whose students engaged in pencil fights? what a fucking WASTE OF TIME

Matos W.K. (M Matos), Thursday, 4 March 2004 02:38 (twenty-one years ago)

this thread only exists to be misread

Totally. But then I thought, I don't hate any pens!

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 4 March 2004 03:33 (twenty-one years ago)

no way Matos, pencil fights are universal. I remember all the kids trying to sneak in rubber pencils, the ringer pencil, if you will

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Thursday, 4 March 2004 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I've got an assortment of all the cheapies many of which don't work, two signature pens from my co-op which are super memory items, two fancy collapsable "Zebra" ballpoints for my daytimer organizer (in swanky distressed leather, midsize), and a bunch of nice pentel RSVPs and papermate flexigrips which are my black and blue midrange pens of choice.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Thursday, 4 March 2004 04:09 (twenty-one years ago)

PENCIL FIGHTS! Fuck yes! Bring that shit!

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Thursday, 4 March 2004 04:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Pencil fights are all well and good until you accidentally stab someone in the temple with one and become tarred forever as the psycho girl who stabbed the guy who liked her in the temple with a pencil.

Not that anything like that ever happened to me in 9th grade Spanish class.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 March 2004 04:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Or in the hand in Biology.

We shall overcome, sistah.

g--ff (gcannon), Thursday, 4 March 2004 05:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I have a pilot precise v point that I found in a really odd shade of purple.

Its kind of girly but writes so nice that I have to use it.

I only use black Pilot G-1's. They write the best.

jel, Thursday, 4 March 2004 10:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I have only one black cheap-ass Micron black pen left. The consultants keep stealing them. You'd have thought they earn enough to buy their own.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Thursday, 4 March 2004 11:04 (twenty-one years ago)

shoe polisher filled with brake fluid.

Willdabeast, Thursday, 4 March 2004 12:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Currently working my way through a box of Pentel RSVPs I got on clearance for like a dollar.

Pentel "RSVP" Ball Point Pen is an economical ball point pen with an advanced ergonomic barrel design and a soft, ruberized comfort grip. Offers exceptional balance, comfort and control for fatique-free writing. Produces expressive, fine lines from a stainless steel tip, ideal for carbons and all general writing. Looks, writes and feels like no other ball point pen! Uses BLK7 refill two-pak.

Hot!
