So this was a chill, laid back affair. Turner and his friend tim and kerry and nitsuh and scott of stopsmiling and myself. We had coffee, we went back to Nitsuh's place and did a listening party thing with some beer. (thanks nitsuh!) and, uh, everyone was *indie as fuck*! Nitsuh, Kerry, and Scott were doing the whole gentle/blissout/twee thing and I was trying to keep up with what I knew and meanwhile turner and tim were all about the locust and midwest emocore and the generation gap was in full swing. Then there was either turner or tim who was from Santa Barbara, and we did the whole local bands rundown and lost everyone else. Uh, yeah. So everyone was very nice, tho we sorely missed Melissa, and Martin didn't make it neither. Which just means we should do it again sometime. Others from the meetup wanna share impressions?
