"Your business is important to us, your call will be answered by the first available technical support representative in the order in which it was recieved..."

blame big business, management cutting the workforce, then stuffing it spockets with cash.

haha
hitting "0" while you are on hold sometimes gets you through quicker

kephm, Thursday, 4 March 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

In Britain if you hit the star key twice, you get through straight away.

"We Don't Support That"

chopher, Thursday, 4 March 2004 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow. It is all coming together.

Ive actually escalated this request to "Tier 3" support, which has 2x the hold time.

Waiting on hold for 25 minutes and then getting transferred & cut off by the person who answered the phone... dud.

Broadcast equipment tech support is an unimmaginable dream. Never more than too rings, as it bloody well should be for a £30,000 video recorder.

Is that true? That hitting the star key twice? Almost makes me want to phone NTL...

Works for NatWest but I reckon there's a few 'standard' systems. But when I am ringing NatWest all that means is the unpleasantness starts sooner rather than later.
