when paychecks go missing

so one of my checks was delivered to my old address halfway across the country. a check i very badly need. so i called the current residents of said address (my old uh roommate) and she agreed to mail it to me asap. instead of "mailing", however, she wrote "please forward" and my current address and stuck it back in the mailbox. and its now m.i.a. i mean, sure, it's totally not her problem, but c'mon common sense here people!! *(U*(GHIPUBG#POBVG$P&OGF#&V#&*VGF#&*G@#*&GFP@!!!
