IT'S MARCH, CUT THIS SHIT OUT

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey, fuck you right back!

Old Man W. (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Go to bed, old man!

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

GO DIE SPRING

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, all right.

Old Man W. (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I love when weather is news. But I don't understand why they have to write new copy to report it.

Bracing for a "vigorous winter storm" here as well.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Also between the lean-on-the-'o'-key headline and the phrase "Mother Nature planted a "big, wet slopper" on the Twin Cities early this morning", it all feels really greasy and unpleasant

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Thankfully I don't suffer the cold much here for obvious reasons but I'm with you, I HATE this fucking season. Thank god the days are noticeably longer now but they're not long enough, I need more daylight.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

When I was in Minneapolis in January it looked like you guys could've used the moisture anyway. There was barely any snow on the ground at all.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

This seems like a good place to bitch about this.
It snowed last night and by 6 this morning the fucking snow removal team was clearing the parking lot across the street from my apt. with all their beep-beep-beep and plows scraping asphalt and "hey, Huck, fuck you! We gotta clear this snow so the people who live in the suburbs, where we would NEVER make this kinda noise this early in the a.m., can get their stupid cars in here."

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

We got buried in February but for the last week it was in the 40s, really nice, everything was melting and there was a lot of sidewalk puddle-hurdling, it was actually sunny out, you could hang around outdoors without being depressed and NOW THIS, BLARGH RARGH STAB

Fuck him for making me buy one of his albums under the impression the whole thing would be as awesome as "Frankenstein"

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Nate, I'd fuck right back if you fucked with THIS Winter(s). That Triton could smash you alone.

That said, the northwest has been getting a weird early spring.. big ol' clouds with bigger rain, but more on and off.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 5 March 2004 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

It's unseasonably warm and almost summery here today, which is odd for Michigan at this time of year.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 March 2004 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

It's 72 and windy as hell here. Strange. I'm sure the wind is bringing a blast of refreshing freezing rain with it later on.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 5 March 2004 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

it's 74 in Ohio. i've decided to spend the day completely naked.

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Friday, 5 March 2004 17:43 (twenty-one years ago)

ned wtf are you talking about? it was like 80 two days ago. even tho the days are shorter, this week has been tops (I guess if you dont count the rainy beginnings).

BRING ON SPRING.

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

high today in the 70s, sunny, quite lovely. i guess winter left our parts to go bother you guys some more.

Viva La Sam (thatgirl), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

ned wtf are you talking about? it was like 80 two days ago.

Mornings going into work are still chilly = I get in sour mood. Sun sets too quickly for me = sour mood. Etc.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh it's chilly, is it?

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

got a point there ned. I also get annoyed when I have to wear a sweater to walk to work in the morning and then get blasted by the winds coming off the highrise around sunset. however, I was fortunate enough to be working outside of the office for parts of the day on wednesday.

/so-california weather bitching: off

bill stevens (bscrubbins), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I"m just kidding. The harsh climate of Saskatchewan has made me the manly man I am today. So I understand that you guys don't like chilly weather. You've got that right.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

hey ned did you read this article about vitamin D? I was in a horrible funk this winter and I really felt a million percent better after a weekend in the bahamas, um, well even more than you might expect, you know.

teeny (teeny), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I actually try and spend at least some time in the sun as I can each day, though I'm generally a homebound type of person in general -- working in the gardens of my friends always helps with that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

good for you, you're wiser than I.

teeny (teeny), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

With the wind chill it's 14 F here today. I am also a manly man so it's ok. Actually no. FUCK YOU, WINTER. RIGHT IN THE ASS LUBE FREE.

Kenny Blankenship (Bryan), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I should also mention that the snow fell the night the bus drivers went on strike, and I went to bed thinking "only another couple days and I can ride my bike everywhere". Now I'd be a total shut-in if it weren't for work. (I'm) Stranded!

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Also I get to experience another two weeks of icy sidewalks and calf-high salt stains on my pant legs

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:31 (twenty-one years ago)

it keeps being balmy and snowy here. it's like the bottom of a slurpee cup.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Friday, 5 March 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

eleven years pass...

waking up early to pitch black, I feel like I've stayed up all night
